One upgrade I definitely recommend is putting steel driveshafts on all 4 corners. The stock ones seem to be a bit weak

Not new to RC's, but I will be getting one for my collection. My entire RC collection of cars/trucks, boats, an planes were destroyed a few years ago, an as you all know, the hobby is expensive. Slowly I want to build the collection up again, an though 1/10 or bigger scale is what I'm after, 1/16 GOOD rc's are where I'm at right now, financially.

Even if you are a seasoned RC vet this vehicle is really fun. I bought one for my nephew, and when I drove it, I had a HUGE smile on my face. For a 1/16 truck this thing is awsome

I just bought the brushless version used for $70. needs a little love and a servo but it is insane fast.I am pushing 50 mph on 2s Brushless little basher beast / crock racer you name it it is a great all around rig.

For the record, pivot-ball suspension...do you mean cantilever suspension? Pivot-ball is in reference to the knuckles at the wheels.

I like the new look and the led lights, but I don’t like brushed. I own the brushless older version and I love that one way more than this one, so much more power with brushless. Only jealous of the prebuilt led lights

Not really a summit without locking diffs. The locking diffs were what really made the summit stand out.

The diffs break a lot and they take a long time to fix, not worth the hassle to drive this thing. Looks better sitting on my shelf than broken on my work bench.

Really. Don't think so, for mine at least. I have the broken driveshaft and servo. Replaced with upgrades and have no other issues.
