Traxxas 4tec 2.0 VXL- Can it really hit 70mph out of the box?

1-2 degrees negative camber front and rear and 2 degrees toe in on the front made mine stable at high speeds

Foam tires, 2-3 degrees of toe in at the back and a little toe out in the front and it will lock in at speed and go straight.

I bought it brushed and threw a erevo mamba monster in it and ran it on 4s and didnt have trouble. You can velcro a second battery to the top of the battery hold down. The extra weight makes it 10 times better to control with those wheels

I own 2 and hit over 114 on speedrun of course different setup posideon motor mamba max pro mod1 gears etc 4 Tec seems be always be a lil squiggly but the right speedrun body and drag is the most important and she’ll hold and go trust and believe

If you turn down the steering sensitivity that might help, that way when you turn the wheel it has minor steering adjustments not forcing it to oversteer and spin out all the time

KGRC 007 actually I’m talking about steering expo/sensitivity. You can access that setting thru the traxxas app with the Bluetooth module. Let’s say you turn it up, it makes a half a turn actually feel like a quarter turn. That way at high speeds the steering isn’t so jerky and reactionary.

KGRC 007 that module changes things, especially if you have more than one traxxas car bc you can link em all up to one controller, set your setting for each vehicle, and then it will remember the car and settings. Highly recommend for $35-40 if you have a Tqi remote

I've got the VXL Roller on backorder. I'll pair it up to a 2S and see what she does. One video suggested about 33 on stock gears on 2S. I can handle that, I figure. But it's nice to know that out of the box with a 3S power supply that it can literally roast tires. I probably won't be able to handle it at its full power, but man will that be a bragging point lol

@@masonbrossoit4998 Negative. Traxxas doesn't do a kit on the 4Tec chassis. The only vehicles I'm aware of having kit options are the Slash and the TRX4 in specific flavors. That said, using only Traxxas components gives it the full advertised features like stability control and telemetry. If that's something you care about.

Its 4x4. I got a Rustler 4x4 VXL and its a COMPLETELY different car than the 4-tec VXL

I have a redcat 1/10 onroad that I did a brushless swap on was trying to make a budget speed car but yeah I just loose control around 40mph...im gonna get some foamers too and try to raise the ride height so it dont scrape too much...def not a power issue just grip and stability

I have the same model and it’s only $500 total with a body and paint so screw it I already busted mine after running it three times in two weeks fine cost money that’s how it works👍🏻

Try a better radio. My fs gt5 will cut power and correct steering if the vehicle isn’t going straight. I run it on my erevo 2.0 and geared to 60mph it worked flawlessly. Had to tune and tweak it the priority and throttle cut but it’s quite good. Much better than tsm.

Sounds like the body is scraping the tires maybe causing some issues for stability.

Was it air under the body? Had similar issue between 55 and 60. Closed all of the open space underneath and it stuck like glue. Never got to 70 though but my Batts were only 40c. Hope you figure it out👍

I hit 68mph and I tested my gps on the highway with my truck and it’s 2mph off so I guess it hits 70 👍🏼
