Traxxas Maxx Slash (My First Real "Bash" With It!)

The suspension on mine, right outta the box, was way too soft. Swap the shocks out with the Sledge shocks... or at least the springs. And bump up the viscosity of oil, and it should handle a skate park with good results.... I usually stick to the pavement/parking lots... just to hear the tires screech is worth it!!!

One thing I can't stand is when someone says "the Maxx Slash wasn't designed for jumping". That's obviously NOT true -- it's almost exactly the same design as the Maxx, which is a serious basher. It has vent cutout holes in the body to reduce parachuting. It has optional shock extension parts to increase suspension travel for big air. It's not that it "wasn''t designed" for jumping, it just sucks at it. Traxxas tried to make something that could jump (just like the Slash and all of their SCTs), they just failed at it.

KC RC ramp, this guy doesn’t respond. I suggest getting the HD model. It will come with the plastic stiffener. Make sure you have something electric to assemble it. Lots of damn screws

You’re using a ramp designed to encourage back flips and you’re wondering why you can’t get the nose down on a vehicle with a body notorious for catching air. Then you are wondering why the dirt mound works better … well that’s because it’s a flatter “ramp”. Sooooo get a ramp without a curve and you’ll see some nice Dukes of Hazzard jumps and landings.

Idk why you’d see promotional material and think yeah I’m going to rip the sh!t out of something the same way in a commercial. I grew up racing enduro and motocross and I’d never think to fly like I saw in promo materials or I’d probably not be here 😂. I know it’s not the same thing but still use some common sense.

The Maxx Slash has vents at the back “window” area. If this guy weren’t using a backflip ramp he’d have lovely jumps.

@@K2H117 well most don’t have any to little. But the Maxx Slash has some. It will never correct fully the parachuting of that style body but it helps.
