Traxxas Maxx V2 VS Tekno MT 410

MT410 is a really pretty truck! I freakin' wish XRay would give in and just make an 1/8 scale Luxury MT! I have been bashing my brains out for 17 years now! I am constantly waiting for the day someone releases the ultimate basher rig! So many have gotten damn close now! (Kratons) Yet no one has truly nailed it yet! Its mainly a cost issue I think! I know I would gladly spend 2K-2500 out of box for a full blown basher setup thats good to go! Hopefully there will be some orgy between the xmaxx8s, kraton8s, and who knows.. maybe a tekno product lol 😂. I preordered that new Associated Rival MT8 for the hell of it... should be interesting!

Both are great trucks Rocky 👍. Great comparison and Sweet job with the MT41O build 😍. I told Tekno years back that a metal spur and shock caps really should come in the kit 👀. It fell on deaf ears as it wouldn't meet the "price point" goals 😂. No question it's got a buttery smooth drivetrain, shocks, and overall handling 👌. Racing pedigree for sure. Tekno MT410 On a race track, slap in a proper race tires on the tekno,drop the ride height, dial in the right diff oils and shock oil and it will surely drive near or close to a race truggy.

Thunder, I think the maxx is definitely more durable. Mainly in the arms department.. For a beginner I think it’s the best truck. Once you get to be a better driver, you’re probably going to want more. I’ve owned the eb48.3, which is the mt with buggy arms. Now currently own an et48.3, which is the mt with long chassis.. I would not trade either one of these for a maxx! Thanks for all the unhinged great content👍🔥🔥🔥🙂

Definately the Tekno MT410 has better handling since it comes from a racing platform and generally better quality parts. I have both the extended and wide m2c chassis. Great video!

Great rundown of the rigs especially all the M2C beef on the Tekno😍 Gotta taken the 410 all day for this comparison UNLESS it's about durability.... Hey Rocky, another great video of yours. I totally agree with you. I send my Maxx over everything and I am never worried about it not coming back in one piece. To me the Maxx is the winner, because of its durability and versatility. I absolutely love my MT410 though. Handling wise, it is one of the best trucks out there, but that should be no surprise, considering the fact that it has its roots in RC racing. The MT410 is plenty durable bone stock as well. With all the M2C upgrades you have on there it should be a tank. Another good one was the Pro-line Pro MT4x4 which was the Freestyle king to me. Too bad it was discontinued after such a short time.

Felt like I kept heard s stripped spur or diff in the maxx. I finally just found a well build mt410 used. I've just never wanted to afford a mt410 but have been wanting one for a while. The tekno rigs are the best on the market bit for the money the maxx is a great deal. Traxxas has done very well with their plastics over the last several years. So, for the money, maxx is king, if money is no option tekno can't be matched, you can feel the years of race R&D when you drive them. Thanks for the vid bud

Nice man I just built my mt410 took bout 8 to 9 hours. But I thought with the m2ç chassis you where supposed to flip the servo that's why I need the extra long m2ç servo arm? But as long as you got good steering 👊 I enjoyed the build was super fun. But going be while before anyone sees it being like 15 degrees out🤪🤪.

My all-time favorite next to my xmaxx is my mt410 bro! Awesome jumps bro! I run xt150 on everything i have bro then you don't need anymore series connectors just connect the red from one battery to esc and black from other battery to esc then the other black and red cables left coming out of batteries just hook together boom series. Then no more big space taking up series connectors.

Honestly surprised you already upgraded the heck outta the mt410 with m2c parts! My et48 has only had one “break” and thats a slight bend in the tekno chassis with the center being high unlike most bends

Both a great rigs but the maxx is a lot less expensive. I would say the maxx is much better for someone just getting into the hobby but if you like to build and have a larger budget mt410. Nice comparison 👍

Not bad kind of a review, could you get them both on some kind of track to see the difference in handling performance? Not just sending them in air ? I was not happy with Earl Morehead opinion of the MT 410, and putting others of from buying it, I wouldn't mind but he's not the best driver, putting it nicely, I ran a bash group of 50 members and we would met up on a Sunday and bash race, this means your your up against a wide range if rc vehicles to compete against, I took the most wins with MT410 and MT 48 or MT ET, you need to build one of these its killer, this is using the MT410 front and back end on an original ET48 chassis, its amazing that's all I can say, I appreciate all you KZbinrs do but I wsh some would be a little more honest ,integrity is everything for me ,some KZbiners do not seem to aware that be some of us may have been in the hobby a lot longer than themselves? and have a welf of knowledge, this doesn't mean we know everything . Super happy you joined the M2C racing crew with Rich and RCDUDE81.

Not really fair comparison with the Tekno completely M2C'd out. My friend put one together stock, bent driveshafts, chassis, was not really impressed. More of a race oriented platform than a basher in his opinion. Staying with his Arrmas.

I have had the pleasure of owning the original Maxx and went through all the pains and trials of paying so much Ca$h to do all the upgrades after initially buying it. Even after the upgrades, I found more issues with breaking the original Maxx more often and ended up finding a guy who owned about 3 MT-410's and wanted to trade for my Maxx at the time. I have owned the 410 for about a year and a half and have done most of the major M2C Upgrades and have not had any major durability issues. I will say if you put any wheels bigger than the Proline Badlands or the ARMA Backflips, like what he had in this video, you will be putting a ton of stress on the center drive train, specifically the pinion gear. I chewed through a few Pinion gears on big landings having big tires on there like the Traxxass TalonXT's. The MT can handle those wheels but the extra weight is just brutal on landings. Overall, I give the MT410 the leg up from what I originally had in the Maxx V1. But it seems like Traxxass is trying to catchup with this 2.0 as far as the changes you get stock vs what the original gave you. But, handling for any 1/10 scale Monster truck, none match the 410. Its been out for several years now and still the best 1/10/1/8 scale MT out.
