Chris don’t ever lose sight of why you do the videos. It’s your adventure and you really shouldn’t care what people think about your cars as long as you enjoy them then that’s what counts. I can imagine the extra pressure though now you have so many subs!! Tough situation to be in I guess if it starts ruining your pleasure. Just remember people primarily watch because they like what you do and how you do it. Don’t matter what RC cars you do it with brother. ❤

Thanks so much for the encouragement and kind words! ❤️ It’s true, the main reason I do these videos is to share the fun and adventure I have with RC cars, and enjoying the hobby is what really matters. The pressure from having more subscribers can be a bit intense, but your reminder that people watch because they enjoy what I do and how I do it is really motivating. I’ll definitely keep that in mind and focus on the fun. Thanks for the support-it means a lot! Stay awesome JP Dude , Chris :)

I was thinking about getting a Sledge a few months ago but bought the Kraton EXB RTR instead. I didn't have all the issues with mine that you did and it has been a fun RC but I still would like a Sledge. I seen all the bad comments about the Sledge but in reality no more really than all the bad comments I have seen about the Kraton EXB which I love taking out. My wife offered to buy me an RC for my birthday this month so I have a new Belted Sledge sitting at the hobby shop waiting for me to come and pickup after the long weekend here. I ordered a few goodies for it as well to correct a couple of the known things like the slow servo. I also have the engine fan, temp gauge, bluetooth module, wheelie bar, and RPM front bumper. Other stuff I will leave stock until I break something and then replace or upgrade as I go. For the most part it is fine the way it comes out of the box, not everyone is going to send it to the moon and then complain about things breaking.
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
That sounds awesome! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the Kraton EXB, it’s definitely a solid rig. I think you’ll have a blast with the Sledge too, especially with the upgrades you've got planned. It's true-every RC has its quirks, and while people love to highlight the negatives, it really comes down to how you run it and what you're expecting. The Sledge is a great truck out of the box, and the upgrades you’ve ordered should make it even better. Plus, you’ve got the right approach-drive it, have fun, and upgrade as you go. Enjoy that belted Sledge, and happy early birthday! Stay awesome buddy :)

Good video. I like mine overall. My esc just died after about 12 runs. I hope Traxxas replaces it under warranty was just a tad over 30 days. It has been very hot here 100-107f. The heat and hunidity probably didn’t help it is cooking off now so by the time I get it back hopefully it will last longer.
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you liked the video. Sorry to hear about the ESC issues-it’s frustrating when that happens, especially after just a few runs. The extreme heat and humidity can definitely be tough on electronics. Hopefully, Traxxas will honor the warranty and get you a replacement soon. Fingers crossed that the new ESC handles the conditions better and gives you a lot more trouble-free runs!
@boduke94282 ай бұрын
I've been there. My Xmaxx came out of the box with a dead esc. After I sent Traxxas a video of the dead esc being dead they sent me out a new one. I ordered a Max 6 and sold the replacement to recoup part of my money. Traxxas electronics suck. The motors are okay but the esc and especially servos are garbage. They want you to pay a ton extra for a metal geared servo that every other brand basher comes with. It's really annoying that we don't get premium components for that premium price.

That thing doesn’t need upgraded electronics, maybe gears and 😊a servo and Vitavon steering and you have a really stable rocket 🚀
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
Definitely! Sometimes it’s more about upgrading the essentials like gears, a good servo, and something like the Vitavon steering to really dial in the stability and control. Once you've got those sorted, it’s like turning your rig into a rocket 🚀 without needing to mess with the electronics too much. Great call!

Ah, that’s frustrating when the VXL 6S ESC keeps giving you trouble. I’ve actually upgraded the firmware on both the ESC and the handset, and so far, they’ve been holding up great. No issues beyond six packs so far! Firmware updates can sometimes help with stability and performance, so it might be worth a shot if you haven’t tried it yet. Hope that helps and you get better results moving forward!

Glad you like Chris 👍. I almost got a sledge before I found a deal on a k6s . I’d be happy with either and don’t pay attention to the the ford is better than Chevy thing becasue it’s a bunch of shite imo . Having fun and being happy with the RC is paramount . I ran nearly every day this summer and it was good times . A couple days ago I saw a white whitetail deer in the park where I run . Good luck for everyone 👍
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
Ah, the age-old debate: Ford vs. Chevy. But let's be real, the true winner here is the person having the most fun with their RC! And a white whitetail deer? That’s nature’s way of saying you’re doing something right!

Seems like a good rc alot people from what ive seen dont like it but seems like anyother good rc and maby that bluetooth module for the conrtroller maby u can adjust the throttle stuff in there i no i wanna get one to use with my xmaxx i found the breaks to strong outta the box.....
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I’ve noticed that too-there's always mixed opinions, but every RC has its pros and cons. The Sledge is definitely solid once you get it dialed in. The Bluetooth module might be a good call; it should let you fine-tune things like throttle and brakes to suit your style better. That would definitely help with the brakes on the X-Maxx being a bit too strong right out of the box. Sounds like a good upgrade to consider!

I have had nothing but problems with mine too I would have satellites and if I didnt start it then it would just drop the satellites. I would have to shut it off and start it over. The app drives me nuts it just stops I just bought a new gps after the old one stopped logging anything and I would have to use the reset to get it to turn off. I wish there was a better option
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
That sounds super frustrating-I totally get where you're coming from. Dealing with GPS issues like losing satellites and having to constantly reset it can really take the fun out of things. And when the app is glitchy on top of that, it’s enough to drive anyone nuts! Hopefully, the new GPS you bought solves some of those problems, but I agree-it would be great if there was a more reliable option out there. Hang in there! I might just buy a stand- alone unit Chris :)

@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
Nice choice with the beefcake kit from M2C! 😄 Going with aluminum and metal upgrades will definitely boost the durability and performance of your rig. It might make your truck a bit heavier, but the trade-off is usually worth it for the added strength and reliability. Plus, it’s always satisfying to see your RC rig looking and performing at its best. Enjoy the upgrades!

Im still on the fence between the k6 exb and the sledge. Its the price thats snagging me 🤦🏻♂️
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
I get it, the price can definitely be a tough decision-maker. Both the K6 EXB and the Sledge have their strengths. The K6 EXB is known for its durability and performance, especially if you’re looking for something that can handle a lot of abuse. The Sledge offers great value too, with a good mix of performance and innovation. If budget is the main issue, maybe consider what features are most important to you and which truck aligns better with your needs. Sometimes waiting for a good deal or checking out sales can also help ease the cost. Either way, you’re looking at getting a solid rig, so you can’t go wrong!

My front spring perches are rubbing on my drive shafts on my arrma kraton 4s v2.5 any advice on how to stop this from happening?
@wallacengineering80962 ай бұрын
Eh Sledge is probably better than the standard Kraton but not as good as the newer EXB V2 RTR. At least that would make the most sense 🤷♂️. Ive had my EXB V2 RTR since it came out and literally ZERO issues both electronics and durability wise. Not a single broken part, not a single glitch, no weirdness. I just drive it, beat the hell out of it at skate parks and off-road mountain bike tracks and it just doesn't care. Slam on the nose from 20 feet up? Doesn't care. Land on its roof after failing the attempt at a quadruple backflip? Doesn't care. Slam into a brick wall at about 50 MPH trying to turn around the corner of a building too fast? It bent the driveshaft/dogbone a bit but it still doesn't care, just drove right back to me. Skate parks, mountain bike tracks, buildings, and sending it like Rich Duperbash everytime I take it out - and it still hasn't broken. I haven't even cleaned it or done any maintenance (probably not a good thing). I just drive it and abuse it. Thats literally all I do.
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
Wow, that EXB V2 sounds like an absolute tank! It’s impressive that it’s held up to that kind of abuse without any issues-sounds like you’re really putting it through its paces! Honestly, that's the kind of durability and performance that makes a rig legendary. The Sledge is solid too, but it’s hard to argue with a truck that just takes all that punishment and keeps going like yours does. I think you've got a perfect setup for the way you drive-no maintenance, just full send every time! 😂 , But for me i just didnt have that same experience with my EXB V2 , Hopefully this Sledge is more like your EXB ! Im a firm believer in sometimes a truck picks you and not the other way around lol ! Stay awesome Chris :)

I ran countless packs through my Sledge zero ESC issues. I'm also a hardcore basher and have sent this thing without fear off my ramps and at the skatepark. Structurally I think it's the toughest truck I have and that Traxxas makes. It's by far tougher than my Xmaxx.
@ChriswithaCrc2 ай бұрын
That's awesome to hear! It sounds like your Sledge has really proven its toughness, especially with the kind of hardcore bashing you’re doing. If it’s holding up better than your X-Maxx, that’s some serious praise for Traxxas. It’s great when a truck exceeds expectations and stands up to heavy use like that. Keep having fun and sending it! 🚀
