This bodywork is really great and also very beautiful. The choice to paint the grille in chrome is an excellent idea, I think it gives an even more beautiful look. Really great work 👏

I believe you’re doing a great job on your F-150 body. I have the same F-150 in brown as well and I’m going to the theme of that time for that truck. Like, what mods. The truck already has the lift kit and tires which helps the look. I added decals for the American flag across the back window which many had at that time. I noticed your F-150 doesn’t have the roll bar. Mine has it and I added KC daylighter decals over the fake roll bar lights. I put the chrome grill guard to the front, again keeping with the theme of the truck. I also was thinking about adding the pin striping on the body side moulding like you did. I just wasn’t sure how wide it should be but I like how yours came out. I really like the front bumper/winch set up you have. Is it functional? I have used my truck for about 7 months, so it does have some trail scratches. I really want to get another body the same color and keep that ones nice. Anyway, keep up with the mods, they look great.

Thanks for the comment! Cool you have the same truck. I think the pin stripe tape was 1/16 but don't quote me. Yes the winch is functional as well. Glad you found the videos helpful.

Have you ever tried Revell's chrome spray? Its as close to chrome as you can get, but its spendy and hard to find! I have some and its unreal! I painted a few bumpers I 3d printed and they look pretty good!

No! Didn't even know something like that existed. Thanks for the heads up 👍

@@westernsharpie You're welcome! It's difficult to find, as it originates from Germany. I just painted a beat up grille shell for one of my 79 Bronco TRX4 bodies, and it's absolutely amazing. Surface has to be absolutely perfect though, or the imperfections will really pop. With your attention to detail, I'm sure that wouldn't be an issue! That camper looks beautiful on that 79 Ford Traxxas!

That looks AWESOME. I've got the exact same truck and I'm thinking about the hood emblem decal too. It doesn't look realistic but some raised plastic letters in chrome would look 110% spot on perfect. And the mirrors and window /doors trim mouldings in chrome to resemble the stainless moulding that Ford used. And the grill looks awesome too. I was planning to use a silver paint pen from molotow, and are available in different sizes tips too. ( they sell them in hobby shops here in Australia. ) With my truck I went to 1.9 wheels and tires from a Traxxas Landrover Defender. I think that looks more realistic to me. But when I first saw this truck and pre-ordered , I fell in love with it's appearance. Then somehow I changed my opinion on the huge 2.2 wheels and more specifically the 5.3 tires just look huge. Plus I reasoned this will help my steering servo a little bit too. I was thinking though of using a 3s battery as I reckon the truck could use a little more speed but my local hobby shop recommended not to go 3s . I'm not exactly sure why but maybe it's go to do with wearing out the drivetrain and all inclusive gears like portal axles? Great work here with this video and I subscribed.👌💪👍

Thanks for the comment! Glad you appreciate those little details i added. Yes that Ford sticker on the hood is complete rubbish, mine was crooked too, really picked my ass. The 2.2s are just too big, when the suspension is articulating it grinds the shit out of the body. It was an easy decision for me to put the 1.9 Bronco wheels on there. Ya not sure why they would say no to 3s. These trucks are built tough. I had a 3s on my Bronco and nothing has broke after MANY hours of use. I have a 2s on my high trail because I focus more on scale driving and prefer going slow. The 2s rips pretty good still. You can spin those tires no problem. Well glad you liked my video, hope it helped give you some ideas. The metal emblem guy is in Italy if you need the link let me know. Thanks for the Sub!

Amazing rootbeer candy color,,why don't you just remove the front Ford emblem, cut out each letter and raise the letters with some rubber backing then glue on the front face again,,,omg luv those trucks.
