Joyce did a really good job last fight blocking shots with his face loll. This time around hopefully he will pick up the defensive slack and bob and weave. With That being said zhang will come out victorious ending Joyce hype train ( he was never that good anyway one dimensional)

Credit to Joyce taking the rematch. Can’t see what purpose the huge weight gain for the rematch serves, as I didn’t feel it was the weight differential that caused him to lose…..unless of course Joyce felt that he had somewhat drained himself in coming in a lot leaner in the first fight. Hopefully he’s been working on staying out of the way of that southpaw straight left and countering it whilst staying close. Zhang seems to like that mid range distance where his combos flow better. Joyce really should try and smother him up close with constant pressure whisky being defensively responsible.

Zhang was around 5 stone heavier I think they said in the 1st fight or a good few stones and Joyce came in way lighter thinking he can be faster with his hands and footwork and thought Zhang would be to slow but Zhang hits hard very hard so not a good idea plus it was Joyce who looked slower. The added weight for this fight now zhang only around 10lb heavier. The added weight could either slow Joyce down more as he's not the quickest when lighter. It may slow him down badly making him a sitting duck or he has a firefight and hopes he stops Zhang but that won't be easy Zhang is a warrior.

Joe isn't throwing like you'd expect for a guy his size, Zhang is sitting there taking it with no effect. When Zhang throws back it rattles Joe big time. Joe Joyce is very tough at taking hard punches but unfortunately he can't land hard punches himself and his punching isn't for heavyweight at all unless he ups his power to a heavyweight status. Zhang on other hand is a very powerful heavyweight puncher . But in the rematch if Joyce can just punch harder, improve his head movement and footwork , he surely will beat Zhang coz Zhilei conditioning is bad and after rounds 6 he loses stamina badly.

Bit more lateral movement to his right, bit better jab and right hook. A few more uppercuts on inside, besides that looks great. 280, built for power, dense with bone crushing power. Rematch will go same way. Joyce has no fast twitch or power/speed to his shots. Tough as nails but CTE is inevitable, slow reflexes. Arm puncher not very athletic. Best quality is his resiliency. It’s great but when that’s your only strong point, that and size u got issues. Should make his money and get out

This is gonna be a tough one for Joyce. But I think Zhang will fade bad, Joe will up it a year and start to takeover from the 7th round. He’s just GOT to protect against sustained damage. Even if he’s only hit a couple times a round by that left his eyes will close by round 8-9.

Yeah Joyce was winning, and had he not gotten injured he would have won the fight.. Joyce was the aggressor, had much better work with the jab, did much better with body shots etc. Zhang only landed jabs and 8 body shots the entire fight. Joyce was just the busier more aggressive fighter, and landed a better variety of punches. Zhang's jab was basically nonexistent, and he was lazy the entire fight.
