No question Ali won their second fight and their 3rd for that matter. But Frazier kicked his ass in the first fight. Period

The third fight was so intriguing. Ali, pleading with Dundee to cut his gloves off and retire on the stool. Frazier begging to Eddie Futch to continue despite being completely compromised. Ali may have "won" the fight, but Joe, arguably, won the war.

I agree 100%. What’s apparently obvious to me is how much sharper Muhammad Ali appears in this fight then in March 1971. I’m not sure if Muhammad slows down enough to get caught in the 11th and the 15th round in the fight of the century Had he been in fighting trim for that contest. I’m not talking about the pre-exile Ali that version was gone. But here in 74 he’s moving more fluidly he appears lighter. I didn’t look at the weight or his body is shaped differently thinner in the middle without a doubt.
