Love your videos. Have a white treadle machine. and a machine like this one I think. It was bought in 1954.Mine's an American Home sewing machine. Teal blue!

Thank you Tim for generously sharing. You've inspired me! I like the variegated thread, the tree trunk looks like a water colour which is really pleasing. I agree with you about the way we're pushed into doing everything at speed these days. It's nice to savour the moment and enjoy the process. I've got a small collection of variegated threads but not known what to do with them, I now have an answer. Greetings from North Wales, UK

I really enjoyed watching you and would probably take up fmq because you made it look possible. What is the Teflon sheet and is there a particular brand you use? Thank you.

After seeing your sewing machine I found a small Webster, is from the 50's I think, I have not check the model or serial # to find out what year was made, but the best thing was that it is the same color a pretty blue.

Я смотрю ваши работы и балдею. Вы по своей натуре художник на машинке.

Do you use a stabilizer for your embroidery projects? If so what kind do you prefer and does it matter what kind of fabric?

Tim, do you use matching bobbin thread? If I don't, I see my thread on top. May be a tension issue.

I have tried to do embroidery on a sewing machine before. I suck. Not easy, but you make it look like a cinch.

Do you really only use one foot for the treadle? Do you do that all the time or just with the embroidery?
@TimLatimerquilts8 жыл бұрын
I just use one foot for all my treadle sewing.....piecing and embroidery and free motion quilting, I think maybe because I didnt have someone show me "the right way" to do it I just figured it out myself and that is what was comfortable for me.....I guess I figured it was like driving so I just use the gas pedal foot :)

Aha. This ties in with something I read on TreadleOn, that a treadle shouldn’t be cripplingly stiff to turn. If it’s easy and well balanced, (adjusted). then you can use one foot, yes?

So relaxing to watch. You should hire yourself out as a therapist.
