It has been absolutely beautiful ! we have stayed here in Cappadocia 2 weeks longer than we planned - we have been adopted by the family at the Goreme Camping and they have shown us so many places !! we are so grateful 🙌🌿🇹🇷🚐

I almost thought they changed the name of that place to Uchahir (at 12:50 ) then I've realized that is Uchisar castle. 😊😊 The view of the castle from the left side hundred meters from the castle at ground level is just so marvelous. And keep in mind that the castle has been so eroded by the elements over time, what you see is the back walls of the rooms... imagine how much bigger it must have been in its full glory. One of my fave Turkish picture I took from the top. Loved that village even more than Goreme, in part because many French people live there! 🤗😍✈️🗺

The mountain at 3:54 is Erciyes. You should check it out too, especially in winter season for skiing. Or in summer to see (hopefully) some snow of the glaciers (if the global warming hasn't melted them all yet ☹).

A few kilometers downstream from Avanos there is a small plateau next to the River. On the top is the burial tumulus of what must have been a very important person possibly dating back to the Hitities. The mound is 20 meters or so high and may have been larger but has been dug into by people looking for the burial.

It is so true that masks have become a part of all of our lives, we're all connected by covering our faces! I keep seeing people leaving their cars, turning around to fetch their masks. I've done so as well. I see people walking around holding a phone and a mask when they are alone.
