I was just there the end of July with nothing but clouds. Still a hauntingly beautiful place,

The cracking weather lives on, record summer all round....you guys definitely picked the right time to start your travels. That water looks stunning, great to see your faces alive with big beaming smiles. So cool to connect with people along the way....special moments to cherish. So kind of them to give you the fishing gear..... Mornings would be our favourite time of day we think.....waking up and emerging from the van with such surrounding beauty, peacefulness of the morning, lovely. That water is so still and clear, wow! Another great vlog guys....

I know Achill Island very well, I used to spend my summer holiday there as a young boy. My mother was born in Cashel, in the centre of the island. I'm in the middle of planning a family reunion trip to Achill in 2020. By then, it will be 47 years since my absence. It looks just the same as I remember it...…………...can't wait.

Hi Brendan - Achill Island was fabulous and looked even better because the sun was shining. So pleased that our video clip helped bring back some of your childhood memories. I am sure you will love it when you go back in 2020 👍😀 Chris

@@TREADtheglobe Thanks Chris. I'm going to check out your other videos as my wife and I are avid travellers like yourselves, I'm interested to see your personal take on some of the places we've been to. We've been to about 60 countries (so far) and continue to travel a fair bit. We are from Yorkshire originally and have lived in Canada since 1980. We are both recently retired and have a blank canvas of travels ahead. If you are heading this way, please give us a shout. All the best...……..

I was in Dooagh last mid Sept for a week - beautiful as heaven as they say - unfortunately I got a few stormy days but you must be lucky to have this beautiful weather & that reflects on the scene of that place...

How long do you think you’ll spend in Ireland? You could be there for years, exploring!

We're leaving Ireland on the 31st July. There are still a number of vlogs to do as they are not live due to time they take to make

The bridge over to Achill always reminds me of driving through a whales skeleton ... .
