We stayed in the green house across from where you were at in august of 2021 and although they were rebuilding, we had a great time and really enjoyed the island! Although it was sad to see the homes destroyed! I never got to see the Abaco before Dorian unfortunately.

Treasure Cay, probably never be back to the way it was. There used to be a hotel across the street from the marina. It had a really sweet beach bar and a bar on the second floor. I had my first drink of my life at the beach bar. The bar in the hotel freakin rocked every night.

.... as you pointed out there has been a lot of rebuild already .. thx for the comparative before and after shots ... there was mention that there has not been a purchaser for the resort property, what happened to the current owner ..... the damage to the hull, is that something that can wait or need tending to right pronto .. your last haul-out was in the Bahamas was it not, you liked the guys there and their work, also got the impression they were affordable as was the cute room you stayed in ..... another great peek into your lives .. thx for sharing Holly and Scott .... as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....

Yeah it was in Spanish wells. We thought about it, but it was pretty far out of the way. We're hauling out at Cracker Boy again after labor day. And thx for the encouragement!

I will be heading over in early fall. I have the dive compressor and tanks on board, I will see about acquiring some lift bags and lets clean up the navigable waterways. This would be a good thing to do for the locals and the winter is perfect as we have lots of volunteer cruisers. Thoughts???

The issue is you do not remove or harm coral. Why would you explore nature but destroy it in the process

@@johndeverteuil136 I did not read carefully enough. I thought your response asking why you would remove coral heads was someone else. I totally support your effort to clean the waterways and do not understand why markleyg mentioned coral. Sorry about that

Just crazy to see. We are planing to go in July this year do you feel like it is built back enough in Abaco to enjoy the trip still? We will probably be in hope town as Treasure looks like it not there yet.

We will back over in July and Hope Town and Green Turtle have come the furthest in repairs Nippers and Grabbers are back up and running but Treasure not so much. The Houses are Back but still no restaurants or bars due to the fact the resort was abandoned and no one has picked it up yet. Marsh is still the hardest hit but they are working daily to bring her back.

Thank you, i spent 7 weeks with friends who are from T.C. and i have watched 100 videos trying to get a clear understanding and picture of what condition all of Treasure Cay is in. You did a great job. Thanks. Did you get any film of the Airport and the Cabanas where OCs car rental is. That's where i stayed and was wondering if Mel and OCs place survived the hurricane?

TC airport? Yeah we filmed it, it's non existent besides a trailer they have for an FBO.

@@SailingTheSpaceBetween thank you for your answer, did you notice of OC car rental and his wife Mel's offices and Cabanas were wiped out as they were just 3 or 4 blocks away from the Airport. Thank you so much for your detailed reports, better than any news agency is your on the ground hawk eye go pro. I appreciate your efforts and you tube channel to let the condition of Abaco and especially Treasure Cay. MAY I please ask you 1 more question. Are most of the Churches in tact or were many damaged or blown away across Abaco?
