Just had Biodentine done. Most dentists don't have it in their practices yet. It was pricey and had to pay privately for it.

I need this. Cause I have a huge hole in my tooth now, but I I have no pain. I put a self filler, until appointment, so nothing happens to it.

I’m curious about your non-sterile gloved fingers touching the biodentine. I am not a dentist (I do work in medicine). But considering that the cavity is close to the pulp, is there a concern for accidentally introducing pathogens onto the biodentine with the touching? I mean no offensive, I am just curious. I find modern dentistry fascinating. An art and science.

It cost me £300.00 for Biodentine on one tooth + £70 check up fee. I had to pay privately for it and most dentist practices still don't carry it. I was lucky the dentist 2mins down the road from me was one of only a few to have it. You will need to ring around if your current practice doesn't have it.

A little bit strange sequence of technique! The procedure starts with use of Rubber dam - Bravo! But why isolate one tooth!!!! Then having to take the dam off and proceed with the bit of treatment (bonding of composite to tooth tissue) without dam isolation. Especially on a lower tooth, when saliva pooling and control would be just so much easier if the dam was placed across several teeth and not taken off until cavity is filled. Neater, cleaner, more predictable. Strange!!

I have this on all me teeth underneath, after 3 years of check up my dentist never filled them up, she only wants to put crowns on all of them. I do not understand that she never tried to fill them up.. I'm changing dentist now

hey! it’s okay! my situation is similar to yours cause i was a silly little kid and didn’t listen to my parents when they told me to brush my teeth, so now i have a few cavities that need to be filled. was very scared cause i never gotten fillings but the procedure was fine! didn’t feel a thing! only annoying thing was my throat drying. you’ll be fine
