In my experience working in a teritary neuro center. Neurosurgeons do the clipping (via craniotomy) and the neurovascular (non-surgeons) doctors do the coiling. Neurointerventional radiologists also play a key role in visualizing and treating these issues, especially when vasospasm occurs (common after SAH 7 days+).

By treating a hemorrhagie stroke with coil embolization i wonder why active blood do not catch up to the clotted blood ( coil ). I thought more and more blood might catch on the coil and the aneurysm grow when there is not a clip, can you help me out here thx in regards
