I would like to hear more about NHPN-1010 research. This surgery, however, seems promising and is closer to reality in the not so distant future. My tinnitus was caused by a high frequency hearing lose. More so in my left ear.

The way to find out if your tinnitus is caused by hearing damage would be to get a hearing test, to determine what level of hearing loss you have. Then discuss your results with a tinnitus specialist, most often an audiologist.

So this is for people that have profound hearing loss from "sudden hearing loss" and now have severe tinnitus in place of verbal recognition? Trials will not start until 2025.
