I think this should be retitled 'Ferry berthing perfectly in difficult conditions'. That was textbook perfect, highly skilled seamanship on display.

Amazing stuff. These lads know their job without a doubt. Used to love going on the Ferry`s with my Mum as a youngster.

I absolutely loved the rides on the ferry... for me the tougher & happier the water, the better. Was awsome. 😁😎. I always had full trust & faith in the ferry staff. 👌👍 must re visit the wirral again this year... I do miss it. Xxxx

What an amazing video. The tide had just started to ebb, and was pushing the stern, making impossible for the ferry to beth. What amazing seamanship, the way the ferry was turned around, and then came into the stage perfectly lined up for berthing. 10/10 for all concerned.

I used to get the ferry from Hamilton Square to Pier Head in the '60s - it cost tuppence (2d).

When economic times permit it would be great if the Combined councils of Merseyside could club together and build a new landing stage near New Brighton. The dàys when's people could get the Ferry to there were great.

Hi Jimmy. I think she has a few years left in her but there is some talk of new boats in the future. Pete
