Thanks. It blew me away. I knew this software allowed this kind of thing but I didn't think it was possible with smartphone photos. Will an S7 edge make good enough photos to exploit in Alchemist? If so, I'll be spending some more time outside now. : D Is it possible to add variations with a Designer blend of several imperfections photographed with for example the patch that you have removed. Of course, the texture has become tileable, but I think we also lose a lot of interesting shapes and color variations by removing these realistic inconsistencies.

If anyone can't see AI option, inspite having NVIDIA GPU, it might be that you don't have CUDA installed on your computer. So just simply go to Google and type CUDA, and install the CUDA toolkit(around 2.7 GB) for windows. Then the AI Option will become available for you

The AI option shows but when I choose it only the base material and png shows up and when I search for it only Image to material (B2M) Shows up. I have a Nvidia processor and Cuda installed and even have the program checked to work with the graphics card but it still doesn't work.

so....why is my ai powered option not existant when i drop in a photo? are there formats it wont process? (edit) im leaving my dumb*$% comment for others...just throw it in, it works fine without the option for ai. im assumeing that is the default now

AI powered conversion only works on Windows / Linux with an Nvidia GPU. But as you found out, you can always fall back on the non-AI Bitmap2Material.

I want to find this tutorial very usefull, but since alchemist becomed substance sampler, many aspect of the soft changed, and as a novice like me it's not easy to find what's options the author active or play with since these options don't exist anymore or used a different process in differents places with substance sampler, i guess this tutorial is outdated, but the process and quality remain.
