This is excellent footage with a good music selection, most people don't know the inner workings on how to take on trees. Mostly because its a trade and trades have certain procedures...as well as trade secrets :)

The most dangerous jobs in the world. I've cut timber most all my life and had a serious close call once. I made the mistake of not testing the tree first. The tree looked health but that sure was deceiving. I touched my saw to the 38 inch Hemlock and cut less then a half inch into the bark when it imploded down around me. I tried scrambled up hill only to fall along a old growth log that saved me. I've been shitting chips ever since. Love the videos!

Dangerous work, excellent technique on display. It's amazing some of those trees were still standing. It'll grow again, one day. I've done a bit of felling of smaller trees and appreciate the skill and risks on display. Being on the end of a chainsaw, you quickly grasp what can go wrong with all that weight above you. It's sobering.

@Kenji314159 It's because that particular tree is partly dead and trees die from the inside out at the trunk. Notice how many of those trees had hollow spots exposed to the outside......that dried area catches fire before the rest of the trunk that is green (more alive).

Dear mister ducon0101, It wasn't my intention to get you mad. All I'm saying is that Bobcat is a machinebrand. The machine in the video is a Gehl. It would be the same if I called all cars for a ford. For your information regarding my jobsituation, I run a rental shop with construction maschines, including bobcats. Please reply in a sober tone.

Why do you drop the trees on the road when there is plenty of bush around? So you don't take out more trees? Or is it to break up the tree and make it easier to buck/limb/chip?

@DeinKopfFicker A lot of our larger trees have termites in the heartwood making neat little flues for a fire to race right up the inside of the tree.
@TurboF10015 жыл бұрын
To the people that did not think these worker where doing a good job think again they are risking there lives so a dead tree dose not fall down and injure or even kill some one, it is a tragedy what happens when bushfire takes out trees and communities but unfortunately those trees would never make it, safety first, and be careful out there, I know how dangerous it can be!!!!

MotorcycleTherapy i cut trees in seattle for a living dont ever try that u see how there are splinters at the base of the cut inbetween where the notch and the backcut meet those can rip out and impale u thats why u never ever do that cause u cant ever tell if theyre there or how big they are and its why u stand to the side not in back

I really like your video's a lot. very professional but i get dizzy from fast cutting, (shots, not tree's) and if there was a little explanation it would be that much more interesting. More like a mini documentary. but if thats the way you want to do it, by all means keep up the good work. Why do you fell them on the road? easier clean up I'm guessing, and maybe your brother is in the paving business,lol.
