I just bought these 3 products and am glad to have found your informative review. I'm just getting started on the learning process, so thank you! When you mentioned your blemish, I wanted to suggest that you try castor oil. Just a dot of oil on the blemish will minimize the soreness within the first day, and it will heal rather quickly after that. Blessings to you!

Thank you for reviewing!! When purchasing skin care, it can be skeptical as you go back and forth trying to find the right thing. I just purchased a trio pack that includes: vitamin c serum, retinol serum and hyaluronic acid serum. This made me feel much better with my purchase and I can’t wait to try it out! As I age I’ve become obsessed with really taking care of my skin. So I hope for the best and will be able to keep these in my routine for years to come. Your skin is flawless!

Hi there, I'm new to serums. Although, I'm in my 60s I'm excited about getting started. Do I have to start with a toner? Could Niacinamide serum be used in place of a toner? I've read so many different ways that I'm now confused. 10/23@1:30p.m.

Hello! Things can get confusing with so much product these days. Personally, I use a toner with an active (AHA and BHA) to target my skin concerns. I then apply the Vitamin C Serum. Most recently, I tried layering the Niacinamide Serum on top of the Vitamin C serum. I usually skip mositurizer because I live in a very humid environment. I seal everything off with sunscreen. And I’m good. When layering skin care, start with the thinest formula. Just make sure that the products you use target your skin care concerns and desired effect. If you want anti-aging benefits, a product with Retinol or Matryxil 3000 will be effective.

@tortorre 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Soujanaya m, I have not used retinol yet. But based on my readings, if you do decide to use Retinol, use it in the evenings only. as Retinol breaksdowns in light. It is a serum, so it should be layered after toner, just like Vitamin C. If you are using Vitamin C and Retinol, use Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol in the evening. But different brands have different methodologies - so it’s beat to read the brand literature first so that you can get the full benefits of the serum.

@tortorre 4 жыл бұрын
Zoe Mason I’m glad you find my video helpful! I just ordered a few bottles my self! 😘 As for a moisturizer, It really is up to your choice as long as when you use them together it doesn’t make your skin react. Folic acid really helps to moisturize the skin. There are times during the day, I don’t use moisturizer anymore ( I go straight to sunscreen) because it is incredibly humid here in my country. But at night I do use a moisturizer with AHA, BHA and coconut oil to help my skin regenerate. But please always wear sunscreen - sun exposure can make our dark spots darker. Sunscreen plus vitamin c can really help fight that. 😘

So I just bought this 3 days ago from CVS. I should have ordered it from Amazon and gotten it cheaper. My question is why don't I feel the tingle/a little Tommy burning sensation but nothing unbearable that I would feel when using nuetragina rapid tone repair 20% vitamin C serum? The package was sealed .
@tortorre
@tortorre Жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah. If a product is making your skin “tingle” that means you are having a reaction to it - and that is not necessarily a good thing. It might mean the formula is too strong for you and causing some irritation. In general, It takes sometime to get the full effect of the skin care products you are using. Consistency is key. I hope you’ll have positive results with the serums you bought. 😘

Hi Sbrrymom! I won’t be doing the Retinol yet. Maybe in two years when I hit 40. I also have to find a way to get that serum to my country. Hahah I think any deep lines are already permanent - but I’m sure if you hydrate and moisturize your skin, the lines will become less noticeable. You might need to see a dermatologist for your crepey skin - as I believe that you might need laser treatments, among other things, for that. The retinol serum might also be helpful. Wearing sunscreen everyday will help too!

Hello Edward. As much as I would like to reco products for you, because I have not seen what type of acne you have, I do suggest though that you see a dermatologist for this. I am sure that these two products will be helpful, but only to a certain extent. You have to know what type of acne you have. I am a big fan on cleansers with coconut oil. Sometimes, I even use organic, cold pressed coconut oil as a cleanser. This helps fight inflammation and bacterial infections. If you decide to use one, make sure it is not chemically altered (some coconut oils are bleached and deodorized. Do not use this). I have videos here showing my daily and nightly skin care routine - maybe that might prove helpful to you. Also, diet can help. Make sure to eat lots of fruits with high levels of antioxidants (think berries), try to incorporate probiotics and lessen your sugar intake (includes carbohydrates and sodas). High levels of sugar can also lead to acne as it causes inflammation, not only on the skin but also in the body. 😉

What is a good moisturizer to lock it all in you recommend? For some reason my makeup is just looking weird after application since I started using these products. I’m not using to much and I’m waiting in between my layering. So frustrating
@tortorre
@tortorre 3 жыл бұрын
Maybe the mositurizer you are using is not in sync with your skin type or it’s too rich. So try switching. These two serums, in my experience, have not affected my makeup, nor my layering with my skin care routine. If you think these two are causing you frustration, try eliminating it from your routine for a week and see how your makeup looks after. And try incorporating the serums again into your routine and check if you have the same effect as before. Also double check on the foundation/makeup products that you are using maybe the formulation of those might not be in sync with your skin type as well. The process of elimination can be frustrating, but it’s actually the best way of finding out what products will work for you. What moisturizer are you using? Foundation?
@tortorre
@tortorre 3 жыл бұрын
oh, and one other thing. check your skin care if it is marketed as an anti aging skin care system - these products have skin care ingredients in them that renews the skin, meaning it exfoliates or peels off the top layer of the skin . Retinol also does this - so maybe there might be too much exfoliating going on that's why makeup isn't "sitting well" on your skin. Try to lessen the frequency of applying these so as not to irritate your skin.

@tortorre
@tortorre 3 жыл бұрын
Hello 360. May I know what serum are you using? And I think you have to check your over all skin care regimen because it takes more than three days for acne to grow on the skin. Also diet can cause acne. Just try to asses which products you think are causing inflammation and systematically remove them from your regimen. The size of ones pores doesn’t really change- maybe it became more noticeable because you are oiler than usual. Then again try to asses what is causing this - as leave on conditioners and hair products can cause you to become oily or have acne as well - not to mention climate. See a dermatologist if nothing clears up when you’ve “checked” your routine.

Anyhow I’m 37 and I recently started using it, one of the skin care doctor on KZbin who is pretty popular suggested ppl who are busy like myself have no time, atleAst do good facial cleanser, skip the toner, morning vitamin c, afternoon hydrocloronic acid and at night retinol. I am a year older than you. so it's about this time of our lives that, I believe, we should help our skin stay healthy. I'm glad to know that you are moisturizing because if I remember, Chicago is known to be windy and cold - therefore the air might be very drying. I really hope that the vitamin c and hyaluronic acid combo can help increase the moisture level in your skin. I have only used one sunscreen brand in my life - like for a good solid 5 years. It is called VMV Armada Sport 70 (their website is www.vmvhypoallergenics.com). This used to be available in the US but as of this time it's currently not being sold in the US market. Allure Magazine did a write up on their best sunscreen picks, www.allure.com/gallery/editors-favorite-sunscreens - which i think is a good read because Im sure the products mentioned are readily available near you. just found your video while trying to decide to try these products. I am curious though because the esthetician I had talked to about products and layering said that you always start your serums with the hyalouronic acid because it will make anything you add after that absorb and work better, especially vitamin C.
@tortorre
@tortorre 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Wendy - it depends on the serums you use. I have noticed that with these two, if I use the Hyaluronic Acid Serum first - it dries so fast, that when I start layering the vitamin c serum it doesn’t give me enough “slip” to spread it. But if I use vitamin c serum first, I am able to massage the Hyaluronic acid serum “in” well. What your esthetician said is very interesting. But I guess, any way would work - since both these serums almost have the same consistency.

Nice skin bro. You are doing a great job. So about the vitamin C serum I read it has witch hazel, which tends to be bad for skin over time. That's why I don't try it.

Hello Christian. Good on you, because you know what ingredients you want in your products. That is how we consumers should be, aware. We all react differently to different ingredients in many things. Now I am not a Chemist or a Dermatologist so I cannot give you a whole scientific journal on the pros and cons of Witch Hazel. But, I do know that not all Witch Hazel ingredients are created equal. Most of the discussion surrounding Witch Hazel revolves around its alcohol content - which supposedly makes it drying. But when it is "mixed in" with Aloe Vera Leaf Juice and Glycerin - both of which are moisturizing agents, it balances out. But just like you, I am very careful when choosing skin care products and integrating them into my system. I hope you'll be able to find one that works for you. Cheers!

your so soothing to listen to - were you put off by the amount of ingredients in each of their products? The Matryxl3000 moisturizer has 28 ingredients and looking at these 2 serums you reviewed, they each have so many ingredients to give you hyaluoronic acid and vitamin c. This is one of the reasons I have been researching it and just trying to figure out about buying it because of some of the ingredients and the overwhelming amount of ingredients. thank you for any help.

Aw thank you for the compliment - i appreciate it. I do have to say I have a love/hate relationship with my voice! But it’s all in my head! Hahahah I know what you mean about the ingredients list! But I find it very interesting since these serums have a very “organic” formula - but usually , if the main ingredient is listed close to the top of the list, it should be good. The way I choose skin care products is that, a good percentage of the ingredients listed in the serums are already present in my current skin care routine - since when I bought these I was planning to incorporate it to my daily regimen. And as the ingredients get closer to the bottom, they are usually emulsifying, stabilizing or preserving ingredients + other skin care benefits. And mind you, i read up on each and every single ingredient listed. It’s not as exhausting as it seems - but right after you have read them, you will have a wealth of knowledge on your side. It will also help you choose wisely the next time you purchase from other brands because you will know what will work for you. 😘

@@tortorre I found a great site that you can copy and paste the ingredients and they break it down as to what is good, bad, indifferent, clogs, stimulates good things, etc. I spent hours plugging in so many things trying to find something that does not use so many other things. the site was quite helpful and was actually how I found tree of life, one product I put in had very similar ingredients to it and so they list that also. go to skincarisma.com and they have an analysis system....THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY BACK.

Hi Chanmonirath! The eye cream that you should get should target the "problem" of our under eye area. If you have dark circles, a brightening eye serum/cream should work and if you want to treat signs of aging, an anti aging eye serum should work. I use the Re-Everything Eye Serum from the brand VMV Hypoallergenics (been using this for 10 years). Although the brand Tree Of Life Beauty does have a range of eye creams - Hydrating Eye Cream, Vitamin C Eye Gel and Hyaluronic Eye Gel. Just check it out on their website and see which will work for you OR if they ship to your location. For further reading Allure magazine did a compilation of eye cream s a few years back maybe this might help too! www.allure.com/gallery/the-12-best-eye-creams www.allure.com/gallery/best-anti-aging-eye-creams

Serious question, is it safe and helpful for penis head skin
@tortorre
@tortorre 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think this is formulated for that part of the body. I know there are bleaching procedures for our private parts - but you’d need to talk to a derma about it. After all the Penis or the Vagina shares the same “sensitivity” as our lips - so finding the right product for our intimate parts is crucial because IF you don’t, this might cause the Penis or Vagina to become sensitive and you might feel discomfort during intimacy.

@karlaserrano

Retinol is only at night 2 times per week. After putting Retinol apply hyaluronic acid because retinol tends to dry the skin then apply moisturizer. Vitamin C you can use it day or night. Always use SPF during the day. Skin gets sun sensitivity when using retinol.

I have been using the 3 pack as well. I use the Vitamin C in the morning, and the retinol followed by the hyaluronic at night plus a moisturizer. I use all three after cleansing and toning.

Hi Joni, I have not used retinol in my life yet but i have read that you should use retinol only in the evening because it degrades in sunlight. And according to the Tree Of Life Beauty product manual, you should use the vitamin C in the morning and the Retinol Serum in the evening. Here’s the link if you’d want to read their manual cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1242/9326/files/Tree_of_Life_Beauty_Skincare_Guide.pdf?137

Michelle Phillips-Thompson Thank You for the compliments! It pays to take care of our skin always, especially when were nearing our 40’s 😂 If you are complaining about oiliness, I think you have oily skin(?). If so try to look for a toner that will help you tone down sebum production before applying sunscreen. I can only recommend the sunscreen I always use - the VMV Hypoallergenics Armada Sport 70. It is a silicone based sunscreen that creates a film on top of my skin. It has been my sunscreen for a really long time (almost a decade). I use it for my face (daily) and body (if needed). If you live in Canada or the US, they can’t ship there at the moment because of FDA requirements to sell in those countries. I don’t like using mineral based sunscreen because of the white cast - it makes my skin look really ashy. Maybe check out some sunscreen products from La Roche-Posay, I think they have one for oily skin. 😉

tor torre thank you so much for your response. My skin is not really oily. Instead my face sweats a lot. I do t really get bumps. I however have really dark under eye and my skin does not look as plump as it used to. I also just want to tone my skin so that the shade is very uniform that way I do t have to wear make up to get that nice uniformed look. Because I sweat so much on my face I don’t really like to wear make up especially because I reside in a tropical climate. By the way I will be 54 next week so my skin does not look bad. I just want to start taking good care of it

Michelle Phillips-Thompson i believe that some under eye discoloration is genetic. You might need to see a Dermatologist for that - I’m sure she can guide you to an effective treatment. I also seem to remember that Tree Of Life Beauty also has a vitamin C eye serum, that might be good for you as well. Sunscreen in key! I hope that the serums will work for you and provide positive results. Let me know how it works out for you okay? Please stay safe! And advance Happy Birthday! 🎂

That's fantastic! They know how to show love to their customers! It's a very good line - I have had not had any major issues since I used them - and yes MB is expensive, even if it's a combination of Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid. it pays to take care of your skin - and at 38, I believe that our goal shouldn't be to look younger BUT to be at your best skin at your age. Thank you for the compliments! XOXO Be safe and healthy!
