@jlee86113 жыл бұрын
Imo it's the compartmentalization of good and evil that is the primary reason why we cannot see the full picture. I believe greed is an expression. By separating out what we don't want to see we are excluding negative externalities in our way of life. It's a fragmented view of the world and so long as we relieve responsibility in the present we will have long term consequences. Our way of life requires compartmentalization because at the core it isn't aligned with the natural world nor is it aligned with reality. What we perceive as greed being the root cause is placing all blame on something that we believe we have control over. So long as we continue our way of life by doing agriculture in a way that's not in harmony with the local environment, we will inevitably see such effects as greed.
@jlee86113 жыл бұрын
So the main root of the problem is that we have forgotten how to live in harmony with the world, and we are following a way of life that ultimately has consequences. No matter how much we care about the environment, little will be done if we continue to go to the grocery for food, or continue to accept goods and services that are extrapolated outside of the local environment.

It was an helpful and harmless place which was washed beneath the ocean during a readjustment of your sphere’s tectonic plates through no action of their own. They sent out those who survived and reached many places in what you call Russia, North America, and South America._ _The Indians of whom you come to feel some sympathy in your social complex distortions are the descendants of these entities. I love you and your words. Im a mostly Northern Scottish person. My ancestor calibrated the Wheel of the 4 Directions too. They built stone circles and belived in nature as well before the Romans murdered us into going underground. When I was young I always had the feeling I need to find something important out, but I didn't have any idea what that was. About 13 years ago I found a churt knife under a turtle shell." Cause to wonder how long ago that was put there. Months later I had a epiphany. Wow, it wasn't anything small. I am still lerning from this. I know the root of HUMANITY'S troubles. We were ment to live in the stone age. People who build great monuments to themselves, and build great citys for all to admire. Are completely off balance. In Europe asia, North Africa. The concept of wealth, money and power has twisted the eastern value system into a sick and dying creature. War wich should always be a last resort, became a business by which great fortunes were made. That being said. What real world value does money have? Yet money is the weapon used against Humanity. Its a very small group of people destroying our planet, and our values. If we don't find a way to turn our backs on money. We will not servive this. Money is why Wallstreet runs almost every government on Earth. Its not hard to tell which government's they don't own already either. I like you hope it's not already too late. May peace and prosperity be your companion.

But that anger has only created more division. So I have been spinning my roots unsure what to do. So I have been praying to mother for years and trying to hold my tongue. slowly over time I am beginning to hear the light and can see that creating space for our brothers in our hearts who seem lost while firmly standing as a beacon for mother with my arms wrapped strong around the tree with honey in my heart! This strength is seen and felt by those around us and carries mothers message clearer than words and emotion. Thank you with all the love and light!

I’m Hopi from the Badger Clan, my Hopi name is Seyouma. Oren speaks of things that was taught to me as a young child, by my grandfather and father. In the time since I was born until today, I’m am 68 yrs old, Hopi prophecy as spoken by the elders is in place.

Olive hill you are absolutely right about that, now today certain people are greedy take take no regard for the animals who are our ancestor, when i speak of it im told you're a white person's no genetic strings , and a lot of slanderous comments about white people, if the person who they are talking about is European if the world is being correct about things my dad's mother was Cherokee Indian , my dad father was Irish and cherokee but on paper he is considered a caucasian man wearing blue jeans and jacket in a regular house , my mother is German English her mother is German her father is english.

I think god for my children father family is so supportive of me I wouldn't know how i would handle it plus I have my children who believes my words and have seen my pictures of my dad's family although i haven't had a picture of my dad , i haven't given up. And no Matter what tries to stand in my way i have my whole family support and friends who got my back to continue to keep on looking for my father history and picture no matter what I will get it and do my blood line and let nothing get in the true result of it.

I’m not a member of any indigenous people, but, I have great respect for what this gentle man has to say. It remains relevant today, as it was twenty years ago. I look forward to another presentation just two years ago by Oren Lyons! Peace to one and all. We are inextricably linked to one another, and as Mr. Lyons said, “respect” is the “law” which me need to obey to bring about peace.

Thank you so much for posting this valuable interview!!! I am feeling that all Indigenous peoples of all continents belong to the Earth...& the Earth belongs to us. No being "owns" the land. All beings are meant to Steward & Stewardess the land. This very relationship of Stewardship with our gentle & bold Earth is essential to spiritual growth. Due to the greed thought of land owning, of land stealing, & land selling...it is all leading to the awareness of how much longer will all the beings of the natural Earth agree to the way our relationship to land & Earth are? This is a deep moment & awearness to to feel into. To come to terms with. To choose how we as beings of love may continue to guide & assist encourage & inspire the idea of all lands returning to the Indigenous Peoples whom are care tending...growing in spirit harmony & unity with the all. Infinite Love to our creation & freedom celebration 🌈🌎☀️

Yes, the traditional knowledge keepers... When we realize that we all originated as indigenous to the earth, we can be grateful for those who have maintained the knowledge and connection, as they can show those of ALL nations who have lost their connection to the earth, moon, sun and stars, the way back home.

Hello. I am in Australia. I have just seen and listened to this presentation and I want to thank you, Oren for your great wisdom and sharing this with us. As far a I am concerned you are spot on and we need to change the way we live, away from greed, power, scarceness and avarice towards, love, peace abundance and respect for mother earth. It will come eventually as it is the only way, but who can tell whether it is sooner or later. My feeling is it will get much worse for humanity because we refuse to wake up!
@nicholashalsey37305 жыл бұрын
This was made when George Bush Jr. was president. His father was not much better before him. We as individuals have always had a choice to not only Wake up but to take action in our own lives. And that is how it has always been...even in when life was without times similar to these. I will speak about knowing how we connect to all things created in Nature. And that can be easy, depending on where you stand on our Mother Earth. I once stood in a downtown city with high rise buildings all around me and I looked for the things in Nature all around me in the middle of all these highrise buildings and I have seen Nature in everything created by Nature and even by humans. Everything created by both are still created from Nature from our mother Earth. It took a lot of resources from the earth to create each building and sidewalks, and the Airline Plane that was flying over the city. I conceived that the highrise buildings are man-made and seemed to me like canyons that had street names and numbers. We are always connected to our Mother Earth...even still in an automobile, car, bus, or train. If we realize how connected we really are, and learned to be just as thankful, as the Birds, that sing of their own songs of Thanksgiving... and can learn to appreciate what is freely given to us...like the Breath Of Life!...The Water of nourishment...The Food from our Mother Earth...And to be able to Stand upon her to experience all of Creation of Life!

I have always believed, in my heart, everything you have said. Ever since i was little, I was untrusting of the ways of this 'society'. To this day, I am dedicated to healing myself, decolonizing my mind, to dismantling capitalism and uniting our brothers and sisters worldwide to try and replant forests, and to co-exist peacefully with our Mother and her brilliant biodiversity that gives us all life. I am so grateful for you and for your honesty. Sending you love, peace, health, strength, happiness and compassion 💜

I love this old man. His teachings are sound. I would suggest that all wisdom is derived from our own empathy. We deprive our own children in youth of theirs when we slap a piece of carrion on their plate. We have the luxury of choice. If people and not just natives want to take a step into the next higher dimension simply stop eating the animals. Many nightmares will subside.

I grew up with my grandpa who's from Missouri and his mom was full native, I belive he found out that we are Lakota. Anyway, since I knew this as a kid I always had such a proud feeling about it. I also noticed that I see the world different than most of my friends. My love for the earth. My love for my fellow humans. My love for the great spirit of the universe. I am happy to say that I share my ancestors through my way of life. And even though I am a smaller percentage of native. I feel in my heart that it is the one part of my blood that I can feel is who represents my being. 🙏 Thank you for sharing this video. I hope we can continue to build brotherhood and sisterhood because the world is full of hatred right now and we need to come together to save mother earth
