I never wanted an e-bike because it looked like an e-bike. This changes that! This is my next bike!

For me, the #1 benefit is that if I run the battery flat, it appears that I have a MTB without pedaling resistance. While I love my Rail, if the battery is gone, it feels like I'm dragging an anchor down the path. With this system, if it is true what they are saying about resistance, my worst case scenario is that I'm riding a slightly heavy MTB. That gives me comfort to ride deeper into the mountains without fear that if I lose my battery, it's going to be a very tough workout to get back. I love this whole concept and will be ordering one later today.

I’m waiting on my first bike the 2023 trance x e+1 still 6 weeks to wait. Been thinking of this bike as a second bike to go to the gym on and into town etc. went down the bike shop today and jumped on it to see if the size was good for me and was blown away with just how amazing this bike felt even with the power turned off it felt just amazing. I bought it on the the spot. I went home just buzzing. I should have it within 3 days once it has been put together. So excited.

as a full e-mtbiker, i´m looking forward to get the full ebike with a small 85Nm engine (no need that large battery for weight savings if i got the battery extender for longer rides). With this motor design, you clearly got an advantage to do so. Finally to make it perfect, a) add a USB port to be able to charge smartphones, lights, etc. b) add a colored screen with enough information at hand able to synchronize with your garmin/etc. watch to monitor heart rate, etc., c) a space to port tools (air, pump, tools, etc.). Best luck

absolutely crushed it!! BUT please discuss the required scheduled maintenance with the motor(if any) and what kind of longevity are you expecting out of the motor? Does it get louder as it wears on the HPR? plus can you buy an additional 360 battery? how much would that be?

I needed this to keep up with my fast friends, sadly. I bought the EXe 9.8 XT and then I bought a Domane+ SLR 9 with Dura Ace, and the same motor. Sadly due to the weather I have spent more time on the Domane, but believe me as good as the motor is on the Exe Fuel, it shines even more on the road. I am looking forward to the weather getting warmer here in the Mid-Atlantic!

Great bike for your target audience who weighs 160lbs. It would be very cool to see the TQ HPR50 motor on the Checkpoint gravel bike as well, the silence is awesome. I was surprised to hear from the TQ rep that Trek wasn't interested in the HPR120, I find that disappointing as a 6'4" 270lb rider. My favorite current bike is the Full Stache with 3.0 tires, which is used more as an adventure/bikepacking bike with a BOB ibex trailer. Yeah, the rear end is very noodlely and the rear chain stay dosen't need to be as short as it is. This would be a great bike to put the TQ HPR120 on for heavy riders and bikepackers. A Coil shock would be nice for Clydesdale riders as well.

Tonality... AT LAST, SOMEONE WHO HAS EXPLAINED IT WELL!!! THANK YOU! I do wish that TQ would offer (1) a wee bit more torque and (2) a throttle. At approx 8:23 into the video, I didn't see any female riders. Is that Trek's way of saying that there are no small-framed bikes for shorter people? *
@do-ineedtosay7232 жыл бұрын
Ahh, I looked at Trek's website and the Fuel EXe does have a small frame available. *
@tonyrobinson16232 жыл бұрын
A throttle would make it a class 2 ebike and not legal on almost all trails, plus, it's a mtb, surely you should have to pedal at least some.
@do-ineedtosay7232 жыл бұрын
@@tonyrobinson1623 I agree with you. I was thinking about the time when I somehow injured my left calf muscle. I turned the assist to its maximum setting (Turbo mode) but it didn't help. While every pedal stroke was easy it was also very painful. I wished that I had a throttle to get back to the car safely. It doesn't have to be a 20mph throttle, heck 7mph would've been fine. Anyway, it was a painful 10 miles back. *

@massimofederici92072 жыл бұрын
My doubt is... I ride my Rail 9.9 size XL, biker 90kg, almost in TOUR mode, never in EMTB or TURBO, alone, for rides of about 1200/1400+m. is it stupid to buy the new ExE with extender replacing my current Rail? Do I risk to me back home with ZERO battery... for last climbs?

It s a tough segment for sure. I think its a case of if you build it they will come. These bikes need dedicated trails to exploit the technology. Where I live this would just be a snoozefest. They really need to talk up the e jump scene. Some of the race footage I've seen is just nerds talking about battery life.

If only you could buy one. No retailers in the UK have any in stock. Most don’t even offer a pre order option. Can my dealer flash the controller/speedo if I swap a smaller 27.5” wheel? Can my dealer adjust from 25km/h 🇦🇺 to 20mph 🇺🇸 limit?
@trekbikes2 жыл бұрын
The EXe is suited for 29" wheels, but you can run a mullet setup with a 27.5" rear wheel. However, the speedometer would still read for a 29" wheel and would not change, so there would be a slight difference in mileage and speed. Speed limits are also limited by government regulations and cannot be changed.
