■ NEPAL, HIMALAYA: At 4:45AM my alarm kicked off and 20 minutes later I was on my way up the Himalayas in total darkness. Bears, snow leopards, blackface Trudeau monkeys and a host of other potentially dangerous wild animals roam these lands but with the exception of the bears, whom are in hibernation at this time a year, the others are not to fond of people and should pose no problem what so ever as long as I don't venture far of course into the wilderness.
In total darkness, only seeing whatever my headlight pointed at... I kept trekking uphill for what was going to be the greatest endurance and strength test of my entire life.
■ LIKES NEWS: I truly appreciate everyone who helped me make the previous video the most liked video I put out in 2021. With the like/dislike ratio now being invisible to viewers, an above average number of likes relative to the view count, is now what counts to make a video succeed. This is important on any new video I upload. Thank you to everyone who helps me out 🙏

That's outrageous! $2.50 for a snickers bar up in the Napanese mountains, that was brought up on foot no less! Here in Ontario, Canada I pay over $2.50 from the corner store, I knew it was a rip off. Might as well move to Nepal!

Love the Nepal videos, Harald! Grateful to experience the country virtually with you until I can finally go myself. I wish more people will visit to Nepal. Tonight in Canada I was at the grocery store, and as we are entering another partial lockdown I noticed so much hoarding of toilet paper and the like. I feel western society promotes such a scarcity mindset by advertising how much we need to be happy, but many people here don't actually know what it is like to truly go without. And if we did, I imagine many would be miserable. No country is perfect, but I love to see the generosity, gratitude, friendliness and humble way of living in Nepal. Ok, now back to the video :-)

I agree completely Dharma, western cultures are ill and they sicken their people. I have so much respect and love for the "simpler" cultures. We focus on wrong things, making life much more difficult and complicated than it really is. We live in our self-imposed prisons of ownership. Some things are great about that, but seeing the mental health decline is eye opening. We have a lot to learn.

If anyone is wanting to do Langtang in the future, On your way back, walk up to Gosain Kunda, do the crossing, and you can walk all the way back to Kathmandu, tea houses along the way, it was a great hike. Annapurna [15+ days] if you want an extended hike and to see every climate possible, from jungle to desert to Tundra, in one walk.

Your solo vlogs are not actually solo. They are flowing with different characters, knitting continuous stories. Those cats, dogs, Yaks, local peoples, rivers, trees, stones, actually whole surroundings; interacting with you. Because you made them acting with you. While watching your vlogs, I don’t say that technically splendid, but I am wrapping myself with your stories and felt like trekking together. You are a man to create unique and engaging scenarios from the surroundings.

It's amazing how it looks as if everyone is just standing around up there in those mountains, but it takes so much work to accomplish what they have due to having to rebuild all the time. Lots of KZbinrs or influencers hesitate to come to Nepal and explore our culture , share time with people in Nepal . People in Nepal and very welcoming and open hearted and the reason I've been loving your videos more is because you are presenting very raw and real nature of people and places in Nepal. Wow Heraldo…you are trekking in Langtang region with just a hoodie and bamboo stick and that too in early morning in such difficult terrain. Commendable and exceptional .. wishing you a very safe and sound journey upto your destination and waiting for your vlogs to see the adventure unfold…. Kudos to the Northman in Nepal ;)

It's amazing how the humblest people with very basic materialistic things to survive are the most friendly and giving people as opposed to other people that have everything.I've seen it over and over again in all the videos which you have posted on your travels through out the world.

Happy New Year Herald, I really want to thank you for making these videos. It's been 6 months that I have lost my son to suicide and it feels that the world has shattered for me. But I still find solace in watching your videos.. you're a great man contributing to the society. You're doing a noble job indeed. As I watch your videos it feels I'm also present there and experiencing the same things as you. The pain I have can never be reduced .. I am just learning to live with it. I really want to invite you to my house in Kolkata,India. Best of wishes to you Heraldo for your future !!!
