Gabriel, this is truly unbelievably beautiful and rugged. You don't appear to be affected by the altitude or are you feeling it more than it looks. A little over 9,500 ft. starts making me feel light headed. Wishing you a safe & Happy 2020. Thank you for your super videos. Happy New Year to all you fellow Gabriel followers!! 😊 Where to next Gabriel, some R & R? God Speed!

Right on Jacob, you can't go wrong. Which trek do you think you would do? I forget which ones you did before. There are some other ones in the Langtang area that look really amazing, south of the one I did, Gosaikunda and Helambu. You could spend a while in that area. How's the editing going? Looking forward to all those vids man, I know they're going to be good.

Langtang village isn't very high up but you can get to higher altitudes around and on a clear night, you will see the Milky Way and other galaxies as you would from nowhere else in the world as the atmosphere above you is very thin. With billions of stars and showering meteors, it's a sky decorated in jewelry.

WoW Gabriel really Awesome trek. I must say that you along with Jacob Laukaitis and Bald and Bankrupt have been my inspirations to do travel logs as a travel enthusiast that I am. You were the first one I started to watch. I am from The United States born and bred and I've been living in Envigado, Medellin, Rionegro and Guarne in Colombia for roughly 22 years now. You've gotta put Medellín down on one of your future travel destinations. From here you can go to Peñol Rock, Guatape, Santa Fe de Antioquia (a colonial town) and Rio Claro. All very nice places to visit and document with your travel vlogs. Look them up and see what I'm talking about. If you want some good trekking areas in Colombia, consider La Sierra Nevada near Santa Marta, El Nevado del Ruiz near Manizales and El Nevado de Santa Isabel. You can actually see Santa Isabel from Nevado del Ruiz. I trekked El Nevado del Ruiz back in 2003 but have no video footage of that. Have a good one wherever you are brotha'.

It depends on the person. I did the Annapurna Circuit over Thorung La pass and it wasn't an issue for me, but other people could have issues with the elevation. So it's hard to say, you won't know for sure until you do it. That's a good thing about the Langtang trek is it's lower, so it's a good one for people who people who might get altitude sickness.

I'm very impressed by watching these videos formed by you.it's really praiseworthy task for providing more delightful informations about our country.despite being nepali we can't reach the places where you could reach due to many kinds of circumstances of our own.really these are your adventurous trekking.i expect other videos similar to these videos forward.

I've probably seen this 3 times but what I love the most is the chant of " Omm ma'ne pot'ma ommm" I have now incorporated it into my yoga routine. Namaste 🙏 I really appreciate the hard work these village ppl do to make tourists stay enjoyable and in such a harsh environment. Happy trekking my friend until next time.✌

Lantang valley hike is one of the easy and comfortable hike. However those who go off trail they get lost big time. Long ago one guy got lost and found alive after 41 days.

One of your best videos! I stayed in Langtang for a 90 day Tibetan Buddhist (Gelug) meditation retreat as part of a program with the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Lnagtang is a great community.

@@GabrielTravelerVideos I dont remeber it being so cold. We had LPG heaters in our rooms and in the retreat lecture hall. Honestly the part I remember the most was the food :-) BTW - 90 days is typical so that the pratitioner can detox from their normal life and fully emmerse themselves in the retreat. Also many people feel some level of elevation sicknes and focusing on the teachings is more difficult until after 30+ days. This retreat is called "Lam Rim" and is every year around October - December with most coming in November. The main retreat is at Kopan Monastery in Boudhanath which is a city in Katmandu.
