I keep hearing “meta Christ” is there going to be a lore video on the history of trench crusade?

I'll be doing more vids that fill in some of the blanks as the designers settle on things and give out more information to us. For now, we know the Meta Christs are clones of Jesus, but they are all fucked up and are farmed for their blood and flesh by the Church. How many of them there are, we don't know. From what I can tell, it is one of the most requested areas for some lore expansion so far. Tomorrow I will be doing a run through the year by year timeline that the devs have revealed so far, there is some super fun stuff in there.

They have not explained what a meta christ is just yet so it's mostly speculation.

I am reminded of the Junkers from a war game I used to play called Void 1.1 by Urban Mammoth. The Junkers were convicts (sinners) sentenced to serve in the army and driven forward on the battlefield by Enforcers (Castigators). The Junkers also used suicide bombers, and their armored units were heavy and crude Exo-Suits. The lore for Void wasn’t as detailed as Trench Crusade, but I’m still totally getting nostalgic here, and this has probably solidified what faction I’ll be pledging for on the Kickstarter.

@@camboom4467 Yeah, like most negative elements throughout history, those wankers coopted things from other cultures/religions etc to give them an air of rigtheousness and respectability. Capirote is a traditional hat worn by Church penitents in hispanic countries. It actualy has a very interesting history, and at different points has been adopted by different groups of christians.
