Above 7-8 years old does have value but between 20-30% from ex showroom price of that year not current Minus depreciation 10% each year from ex showroom price of the year bought not the current year (2015 means 7 years old car. so the price should be reduced by 70% from the original ex showroom price) so 1 crore car cost only 30 lakhs - Minus Mileage 2 rupees per kilometer run (50000 kms means reduce 1 lakh rupees for the mileage alone) This is how you must calculate before buying a used car. - They will say single owner or doctor's car or vip car, these are all bullshit, these people use many acting drivers so the car is used by many Lots of margin or profits in this business - BEAWARE

Let's calculate prices Car 14 lakhs - (approximately) Noc - free Road tax - 12% of the invoice(Tax will be paid for your state) For TN or KA registration plate- 12 to 15k (this is total Max price) Approximate total cost 17 lakh. You can save upto 13 lakhs. Don't get fooled by local dealers.
