Hi everyone, here's my little video about a trip on Trenitalia's Eurocity from Zurich to Milan. Not really spectacular, but I hope you enjoy it regardless. If you want to support my channel, please don't forget to share, like and subscribe. The next video will be a little hotel room tour, where I will also give an outlook on what I plan to do on this channel. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!

Just saying is it even legal to travel? I don’t know and I wish I could ride those trains there are no high speed trains in my country (Australia)

I understand, the situation is still difficult in a lot of parts of the world. In Europe traveling is possible though. Actually I plan to produce some new videos, but I will be very cautious with how and where I travel to. Thanks a lot for your feedback and stay healthy! Geneva to Gstaad on the train in winter (perhaps end of January): the scenery is nothing short of magical. Snow covered mountains, racing through tunnels, but best of all, frozen waterfalls on the mountain sides.

Wow, sounds impressive and I will put that on my bucket list! I think I could combine it with testing the new TGV Lyria product. Thanks for watching and your comment!

@@travelmentaryTV There are some videos on KZbin that cover this route - I believe the train I took was called the Golden Pass- but they are shot in summer and the effect is quite different.

Yes, I have always wanted to make a winter train trip and the route you’re suggesting looks very promising. I mean it doesn’t really matter if there already are some videos out there, because I hope my production will be distinguishable. Thanks again!

You have a very pleasant voice and I enjoy your commentary and charts. You've covered the very trip I'm gonna make when the virus blows over. Have you traveled in Nightjet deluxe sleeper between Berlin and Zuerich. I'd love to hear your take on that double deck delight I will be riding to connect with ETR 610 to Milan and Frecciarossa to Rome. Thanks again.

Superb informative video. Will you be reviewing UK trains and railways any time soon? I would be very interested to hear the opinion of a European traveller on UK railways.
@travelmentaryTV4 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks a lot for watching and commenting! Well, it depends on how the situation develops in the UK and elsewhere. I will restart traveling very carefully, with trips to Austria, Switzerland and possibly Italy, which are countries that I know very well. The UK has been on my list for quite some time, but unfortunately I can‘t promise anything yet. Do you have any trains that you find particularly interesting? I thought about a train from London to Scotland. In any case thank you for watching, stay healthy and happy trips! Christian from travelmentary TV
@470danadidas4 жыл бұрын
@@travelmentaryTV thank you very much for replying. I hope you will be able to travel to the UK soon. The Caledonian sleeper train from London to Scotland would be a great start aswell as the GWR Riviera sleeper service from London to Penzance in Cornwall. Both trains pass through some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK. It would be great to hear your opinion on the new Great Western express trains from London Paddington to Wales and West Country . New bi mode trains have recently been introduced that have replaced the old but much loved HST trains. As the UK has so many private companies offering different levels of service I would be extremely interested on hearing your verdicts on some of them. Thank you and stay safe. I personally love Switzerland too.
@travelmentaryTV4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot, that sounds very interesting. Hopefully, I will be able to test some of those trains! I would love to produce some videos about those railway services. The UK is a country that also has so many different, beautiful places. Have a great evening too and stay healthy!

@@travelmentaryTV I would also recommend the Transport For Wales (TfW) Premier Service. Its the only first class service that TfW operate, starting in Holyhead in the morning heading towards Cardiff Central, and making the return journey in the evening. First class on this particular train entitles you to a free breakfast meal on the morning service and a three course meal on the evening service. The food is exquisite, to the point that you could consider it to be of Michelin star quality. Its a real treat for any first class railway enthusiast. I've done the evening service before and it was, without doubt, one of the best things I've ever done! If you consider trying a few more railway journeys here in the UK (after the pandemic is over and things return to normal, of course), I would seriously recommend trying it. Check the link below if you're interested. 🙂 tfwrail.wales/ticket-types/first-class

@@TheFlatCapFromWN5 Hello, thanks so much for your suggestion, looks very interesting and I absolutely want to test the different UK rail services, including the one you mentioned. Just as you say, I will have to wait until the pandemic comes to an end, because now many railway operators don't offer the regular level of service on board their trains. Thank you again for your comment! Christian from travelmentary TV

I don't get the need for first class in trains like this one. It's pretty much identical to second class to be honest. You still have tons of people around (like you pointed out) if you get one of those double sits lol. Waste of money. Those sits look like they've never been washed as well. When I hear First Class I expect stuff like the Shinkansen first class. This is ridiculous. Very Italian I guess. (I am Italian btw)
@travelmentaryTV3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. The seat density in first class is much lower and you have a 1-2 configuration as opposed to 2:2. It is more spacious with more legroom in first class and overall you have significantly more privacy as there are indeed less people around you. As a rule of thumb, there may be more families with kids in second class, while business people tend to book first class, although that’s just an impression on my behalf. The cabin btw appeared to be clean and in good shape regardless of the booking class, so I can’t follow your judgement in that regard. With that being said, I agree that differences between the two classes don’t seem that big. Still there are advantages in first class that can appeal to certain travelers. I fully agree though, that a first class product like the Grand Class on the Shinkansen would be amazing to see on an European train. Once again thanks for watching! Christian from travelmentary TV
