Trent Reznor Interview - Part 01

Sorry I was awkward, I was a bit nervous doing this interview. Not because it was Trent, but because I've never interviewed anyone in my life. There was no backup if the recording feature failed when doing this. Also the slight lag we had going made for some awkward moments, as we either didn't hear each other, or the slight delay would cause audio to play on the other persons end when he was talking. Also Trent is very awesome and very down to earth, nice approachable guy.

This is awesome. Trent is so non-rockstar and down to earth. He's a fan of music,as well as a genius at it.Yet at the same time he breaks the boundary put up by the media and magazines and money. He doesn't pigeon- hole himself into a label or isolate himslef as a person around some kind of "musical legend" status. Alot of artists put up a fence between there art and personal lives. He's very unique,by the fact that he remains very close with his audience as a natural born artist.

The 2009 Trent sucked. The 2013-2014 Trent rocked! He somehow felt young again; his voice, his energy was back!

I feel like the break from NIN really revitalized him. Aside from any live shit or interviews or anything, those 3 EPS are some of his best shit since YZ in my opinion.

I'm crushed that he won't be touring anymore, unfortunately I never had the ability to see him live. I'm sure some of the performances on the "Wave Goodbye tour" will be released eventually.

Responding 9 years later! A few months after this interview I met Trent backstage. 1st thing he said was "How's your cat?"
