I want more interviews with Trent. Very well-spoken. His understanding of the game is impressive, even the finer points that have nothing to do with his position. He's a future offensive coordinator.

Every quarterback in the league is a system quarterback. Every team has an offensive system. Some quarterbacks are better at executing their system than others. The reasons are obvious why he doesn't get credit. He executes the system to perfection. The only other reason he doesn't get credit is because he doesn't have to run around like a chicken with his head cut off to try and create something that isn't there. When he does have to use his legs to create he makes it look effortless. People are always going to try and tear other people down it's what makes them feel better about themselves. Hopefully he stays humble and true to himself and he'll prove everybody wrong when his career is over.

Let’s put aside the Mr irrelevant for a moment. It’s extremely rare to see in the NFL a first-second year QB to play this consistently. That is outstanding and a synonym of a great player. The organization put an effort to have him ready to be the starting QB for this season while having a replacement. What we are witnessing is just part of his potential and let’s hope his sealing of growth is high.

Analysts and scouts can't get over that this kid is a rookie (last week he literally finished his first season as a starter playing 17 games) and he's doing what 3-4 year starters are doing, and everyone overlooked him like they did Brady.

Purdy needs to just keep playing Purdy football the rest of the season and he'll win the MVP. Some are just waiting for a bad game from him to then say he's not MVP material. But that just seems very unlikely the way this kid studies up and practices hard and focuses extremely well week in and week out. He's being graded on a different level than other QB's - but even with their higher bar, he'll still achieve that. When Dak Prescott makes an explosive play it's a big deal. Purdy makes multiple explosive plays every game. The QB Efficiency Chart (EPA/P vs. CPOE) now has Purdy all alone in the top right corner. He was already #1 in EPA/P. This game boosted his CPOE a lot - now #1 there as well. EPA/P = Expected Points Added per Play CPOE = Completion Percent Over Expected (takes into account difficulty of throw, difficulty of defensive coverage, etc.) Again, he was over 70 Cmpl% after this Seattle game. That's now 7 consecutive games of 70+%. He broke and reset the 49ers franchise history last week when he passed Joe Montana's 5 consecutive games of over 70%. Now he's reset the franchise record again with 7. Yes, he broke one of Joe The GOAT's records, and then extended it farther after breaking it.

Im so glad all of his teammates are coming out and telling these people Brock is the real deal. Just hecause it looks easy when he plays doesn't mean it is easy. He studies his ass off to do what he does. He knows when his recievers are going to cut, can actually read a defense better than most in the league. His throws are probably the most accurate and catchable in the league. That is a big thing. His balls float into his recievers hands most of the time. Rarely does he muscle it in. This helps his recievers catch it easier. That drop right into Deebo's hands was beautiful. It looks easy because he is so good he makes it look that way. This is why 49er fans are so excited. We haven't seen talent come into the NFL since Mahomes and personally i think he's better than Mahomes. We are excited he is our QB with Kyle's system opening up the field. These two are going to light tue league up for years.

Kurt Warner was an undrafted free agent, Warren Moon was an undrafted free agent... they are both in the Hall of Fame. Tom Brady was drafted in the 6th round... he is a first ballot Hall of Famer... Scouts said Joe Montana was too small and too slow and lacked deep ball ability let alone accuracy... there are 1966 total players in the NFL (including practice squads), yet last year there were 19,369 players on scholarship at D1 schools. There are literally thousands of college players that just never got their shot for one reason or another that could probably totally ball out on Sundays but instead are home on the couch watching. Sometimes the scouts just get it wron and in Brock Purdy's case... they straight up whiffed!

I've watched the Niners since 1980 just after Montana was drafted, and it's amazing how well the Niners had done over a 15 year time span in terms of wins, Super Bowls and excellent draft picks. Then to have Steve Young be Montana's backup as a future hall of famer himself was a blessing. Then it all fell apart after Garcia and Smith couldn't get us that 6th SB. And the hope that Jimmy G could be the answer just didn't work out. Now here is the 262nd and last pick coming off the bench like the 3rd coming of Montana! I pray he can get us the elusive 6th ring! But I wouldn't call him a bust . He hasn't even played a season. I just think Purdy has a much better processor on the field than Lance. Lance would have an athletic advantage, but not the cognitive one as far as processing defenses. You see it when you watch the tape. He stares down receivers, you can't do that in this league. It was the same with Kap. He was extremely athletic so it hid his defencies at actually playing QB. Once teams had tape they saw his weaknesses. But with Brock it's his processor.
