Tretinoin for Acne Scars: Part I

Tretinoin has done absolutely wonders to my face. Cleared up my adult acne and my scaring and dark spots are 100% fading.

I’ve done 1 TCA peels, 3 microneedling, 3 erbium, and 5 CO2 laser treatments. I barely see a change in my acne scars. Ice pick, atrophic, and boxscars. Im convinced I’ll have these forever 😔

U must have it really bad or something because I’ve suffered from it since my teens and a laser and peel treatment worked

I hear what you’re saying but as someone with indented scars, when I apply my tretinoin it provides an instant, plumped up look to my skin, which does make my scarring look better. 😊

What about non acne scars? I have one near the rest of my acne it’s from a bike accident and it’s gnarly. But it’s also hard to not get tretinoin on. Is that safe?

Is it ok to put it on non acne scars? I have one from a dirt bike (fell and slid so skin got ripped off) and it’s right on top of an acne area on the back. Its hard to help getting the tretinoin on there. Is it safe? I don’t use it to try to fix the scar I assume it would be useless

Tret has helped make my skin look so much smoother! Hasn’t done much for my indented scars, as she said, but it’s a step in the right direction ✨
