Garand Thumb since one of the main reasons for both of you using helmets is night vision. How about that be a topic. Since i know nothing of this magic called night vision and how many shillings one will need. Also i posted up on your patreon community on some gloves you could test.

percussive maintenance pretty sure Lucas has been working with Daddy G long enough he knows about his cult following. Case in point Lucas is sporting an orange flannel. It's obvious he's peacocking trying to attract homoerotic Daddy G followers in hopes that his sexiness factor will have a chance to creep forward. Little too serious though if gonna be rocking the flannel ..... check that. Just saw the last 10 seconds .... he's a goofball too . Hey Lucas, is that a bump helmet in you're pocket or are you just happy to see me ......

@@hampstershat123 Bump and ballistic helmets aren't really better than one another. They each have specific purposes. For example if you are using vehicles without a cage (and sometimes even with one) a bump helmet will protect you in a crash a whole lot better than a ballistic helmet. Although that being said, I just modify a $15 bell bike helmet for my bump helmet. It isn't Gucci, but if I crush it I can replace it. (And I actually have gone through two so far because I'm a bit reckless)

@@tfwthelsdkicksin6083 nah, your rent and food are either free If in the barracks or you receive allowances if you live out of the barracks. So your whole paycheck is take home pay. A 2 year specialist makes a comfy 2,300ish pre-tax plus the food and rent. Also BAH and BAS are tax fee income. So you can pocket hella money if you're cheap. I grew up poor and enlisting instantly brought me up to the middle class.
@yulfine1688
@yulfine1688 4 жыл бұрын
@@Alejandr01836 they are paid quite well actually...active or reserves. Yeah active has a slightly higher pay and you dont pay for insurance etc. However outside of that the pay even as a e1 is basically what a 11$hr 40hrs a week job is give or take. Yeah that sounds bad minus the food and housing pay doesnt exist and if your active its a bit higher as a e1 or whatever the lowest rank in your branch is. Is it great? No but considering your benefits and how much less you have to pay for other things its not bad. Now if we talk about different ranks an e5 which is not hard to reach mind you is around 15$ an hour full time once again you have the benefits of the military for housing food and so forth. Same thing being active duty gives a higher pay. Now lets go into a rank which requires a bachelors. Something such as an 06 which is a captain in the navy is over 6000$ a month in pay. Basically right below a 6 figure salary. Its not a overly difficult rank to achieve and college is next to or is free which eliminates all of that cost as well. Now thats with minimal experience as your stay in longer your pay increases. Lets say you stay an extra 8 years after your first 8 years and your a captain all 8 of those years and you dont go up in rank. You pay jumps to almost 8500$ a month in pay which is now 6 figures. Within those 8 years you may rank up once or twice depending on numerous factors Lets say you hit a o7 before you retire. An o7 starting off is over 9k per month and any 7 rank is quite achievable however expect it to take 15 or more years of service depending and now that is your overall service. If you within your first 4 years of service hit college and officer school you could probably make it there within another 8 or so years this all varies. If you hit a rank 8 before you retire and youre a rank 8 for only 4 years. Your start pay is over 10k per month but after being that rank for 4 years before you retire youre over 11k per month or around 140 grand per year. Is it super fantastic? No but thats a hell of a lot better than many other people and if youre retired that pay is still quite high around 10k per month still. The surgeon general which is the rank of vice admiral or something and i believe one actually hit the rank of admiral. However the pay is between 250k to over 500k a year in pay. So the pay can be very high or pretty average depending on the person. Obviously if you retire young from the military as just an o6 lets say with 5 years of experience thats still 8100 a month plus whatever job you in afterwards as well. I mean if youre in your mid 30s when you retire and you started when you were lets say 18 and your 34 thats 16 years of service and by then youll probably be a good rank to retire and still young. So your pay plus whatever job afterwards and if youre married plus maybe your spouses income that alone is a ton of money for most people. Obviously during that time youll probably marry and have kids which is high expense to work with but if youre mid 20s when you have kids then youre already making decent money usually as an officer.

I was blessed to have a friend find me a gently used blemless Elbit Gen 3 thin filmed green phos PVS-14 for $1950 shipped. Low Light Innovations makes a terrific "white" filter that essentially mimics white phos in appearance with limited light transmission loss for only $25. To save money on the mount, he suggested an "Evolution Gear L4G24 NVG Mount Perfect Replica" for only $85 shipped instead of the $465 for the real one, and the quality is phenomenal. I also picked up a used Wilcox AN/PVS-14 Arm for $150 shipped down from the original $229 price. Botach has a Longfri Level IIIA ballistic helmet for only $199 that is around 3 pounds, good quality for the price and there are lots of ballistic test videos on them. I also went with the FCS AMP Headset that is a fully functioning Replica of the Ops Core AMP for only $175 shipped down from $999 for the real one. I plan on running a Disco 32 PTT with them to get my Comms squared away. Although all of this stuff is still expensive, there are ways of making NVGs and Comms realistically affordable instead of an unobtainable pipe dream. I highly encourage yourself and others to do the same. I was able to have just as functional of a setup for a little more than $2,500 that would have been $7,500+ if I had gone "Gucci" on everything...............

I’d just like to say that, I’m 100% behind what you guys do, and everyone has the absolute right to buy whatever they want, and I firmly believe in civilians having every ounce of access to every outlet possible to be able to train themselves and learn the tactics and maneuvers that those of us that are in the military train in. Because the day could easily come without notice that we are invaded, and America will need every man and rifle she can muster. But when you are a civilian running a KZbin channel offering advice on how to “Operate” with no real formal military training, there’s going to be a lot of people from the military community that are going to find you funny man, that’s just facts. Love the content you guys put out there and I have much appreciation for your attention to detail. Lots of well said things, and accurate information, You guys have done your research and put time in getting this stuff down, it certainly shows, for that, my hats off to you. Head Shot based on what? Have you actually used one or are you just going off what others complained about regarding it not being drop safe? I haven’t had a single malfunction with mine, including running some of that Winchester steel cased ammo, and after I got the trigger upgraded by the Sig “recall” the trigger is quite nice. Better trigger than any of my Glocks...

I dont run nv but run a bump sometimes because tall + unfamiliar area + high stress = hitting head on things all the time. I'd say thats a legit reason beyond armor or mounting nv... Ill admit I don't wear it all the time, but its nice to have and after getting some pretty bad gashes from low hanging crap in buildings, its a must have option IMO.

The MS2000 has a very definite advantage, not found on most alternative civilian strobes. Yours should have come with the Strobe Shield/Shroud, that causes the color of the Strobe flashes to be BLUE. To aviation units, normal White Strobe flashes can be mistaken for gunfire directed at Aircraft.....perhaps resulting in your becoming a friendly fire casualty . The Blue Strobe flashes did not resemble muzzle flashes , and can be beneficial IFF if Aviation units may be involved in a real scenario . Your MS2000 might be Old School; but if you keep using it, you should live long enough to become Old School too. SF Doc Kaffenberger US Army 1970 to 2006 . Didn't mean to rush you for a video; I understand the holidays can be stressful. I do appreciate it though. I only wish I could afford half of the training and equipment/ equipment training you both get. I don't have a job that allows me to do that, nor does it pay enough to do so. It took me over a year to fully build my bcm rifle. I can't even imagine how long it will take to get to a training class.

NONE OF THOSE DUDES CAN PULL THE TRIGGER LIKE LUCAS! This guy has said he is not military or LE. He is very impressive. Even though at some of the steel shoots I have participated in the LE guys get smoked by civilians ALWAYS! You are an impressive shooter Lucas, keep up the good work and content.
