Wow, some great footage. Thank you. The scale 7 layout made me wish I had the space, money and skill to model such a thing. It would be fabulous to step back in time and see a pannier on a country railway for real.

Good morning Oscar I enjoyed your latest video featuring a LMS Jinty and a rake of four ‘clerestory’ coaches. Nothing says Victorian and Edwardian era railways than ‘clerestory’ coaches. I have long questioned the correct pronunciation of ‘clerestory’ because as a boy growing up in the south of England during the 1950/60s, the old GWR ‘’clerestory’ coaches were pronounced as ‘clare-re-story’ reflecting a more ecclesiastical feel to these once beautiful coaches ...... after all these coaches originated from ‘God’s Wonderful Railway’ - GWR ....😇

Change the angle of the blinds to slope downward toward the outside rather than inside. This will block the sun's rays yet still allow light to enter, works like a charm!

Some very nice displays Oscar, I really like the look of the 7mm setup. The motor in your Jinty runs very nicely. I only have the one maroon Jinty, for some reason people think they are worth hundeds of dollars these days. Steven.

Excellent video, and your additional Coaches. I have just acquired a part built K’s kit of an LMS Garrett, without instructions, so I shall have fun completing that.

Hi Mark, glad you got to look at the coaches, the part built kit sounds like it will be quite a challenge but a lovely item when finished. Take care. Oscar

Hello and Good afternoon Oscar, I am very late today in watching your video as I was supposed to be going with my son to the Yorkshire Wolds Railway but he is not feeling very well so he has stayed at home instead. He has lots of health problems, when he was 3 years old he had open heart surgery and then he had the same operation again when he was 6 years old. His medical list of problems just goes on and on, But his enthusiasm for railways and model railways keeps him going, and I believe it keeps me going as well. I was also proud of working on our railways myself. The Railway exhibition you went to looked very interesting Oscar, some very interesting layouts. I also like your new locomotive and coaches. The German locomotive looks very impressive with its red painted wheels ect. Well I am going to make a cup of tea and have a very late toasted tea cake. Have a look on your computer Oscar for The Yorkshire Wolds Railway, it's very interesting. Well, keep safe Oscar and I'll see you next Sunday. Have a good week ahead.

Good afternoon Martin, Glad you enjoyed the footage from the show, sorry to hear your son was under the weather and not able to visit Yorkshire Wolds Railway, looks like an interesting place. As a child in the 1970s we lived not far away from the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, not as developed then as it is today, always seemed to be something to look at even on rainy Saturday morning in winter, construction, re-building and renovating work in the yard at Haworth. We could walk right up to what was going on people were happy talk and explain they were doing. I should be working right now! but due to somebody else's error I have the afternoon free and just about to have a late lunch. All the best. Oscar

As always, a great start to Sunday Oscar. At home again now and very chilled after an interesting journey home from Cyprus on Friday. Luckily we weren’t very affected by the travel chaos, just sat on the aircraft for an hour and a half waiting for permission to fly! All adds to the fun. Temperature out there rose to 35 degrees feeling like 43 degrees and believe me it did. That was a great exhibition you went to and it was quite nice to see layouts in their development phase. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to seeing your next update. Roy.

Good afternoon Roy great to hear you got home safely and not too much disruption by the chaos. My son was worried as he had planned an outbound trip to Amsterdam on Monday morning in the event he got away with no issues. Great to hear you enjoyed the footage from the show. All the best. Oscar

An Epic Episode - It’s Great to get to Exhibitions & Chat with Other Modellers, and have a Good Mooch for Bargains around the Trade Stands - I have similar Carriages and they Roll So Well - I have Several 1970’s 3f’s that Run quite Smooth & Quiet after some TLC, but I do find it Frustrating that the Noise appears when replacing the Body shell or Changing direction 🥴 Never mind it Gives Them Character. 😄 Thanks OP 👍🏻

Good morning Oscar, loved the maroon jinty. It looks in really good condition, its always a joy to see some of these locomotive in various colours, and although I have real passion for black, I suppose most of what I saw was black when I was growing up, a bit of colour never hurts. That looked like a good father's day show, for a one day event the amount off effort that goes into so many layouts is incredible. I was quite taken with the incline shunting layout, I've seen old film of the men running beside the wagons and putting on the brakes must have been quite dangerous they would need to have their whits about them. As always a nice relaxing start to my Sunday morning. Thanks Oscar Eddy xx
@oscarpaisley5 ай бұрын
Good afternoon Eddy thanks for looking in. You're right it must be a huge amount of effort on the club part to put on a show like this in the club room, it's great to see the development from one visit to the next. Must've been quite something running along side those wagons operating the brakes manually. All the best. Oscar

Gday Oscar. Some lovely new aquisitions. I always like seeing them with the bodies off. To have a good look at the working bits. Lovely footage from the show, The hump shunting was nice to see. Honestly Im quite astonished by some of those Lego built trains. Really quite amazing what some people can build.

Hi Oscar, Lovely Jinty and coaches, superb colour. Good job on the rail gap and I suppose coming off the bend didn’t help. Yet another Aladdin’s cave day at the show, a lot of ‘I wish’ layouts. Loved the shunting on the incline and of course the ever present 08. 👏👏👏 Gordon
@oscarpaisley5 ай бұрын
Afternoon Gordon glad you like the look of those items and the layouts on display. I was quite puzzled by the rail gap, the tracks been down awhile now with no issues in that area whatsoever, still an easy fix and it doesn't appear to have affected anything else. All the best. Oscar

Hello Oscar - Yes I'm with you there @ 2:17 - Me neither - I've never seen that style of box, Also @ 3:17 I've got quite a few Jintys, the nearest o. to your is a LMS No. 7414 - good Layouts at the show, @14 :53 - I had a very small amount Lego Railway when I was a Lad - only enough to 1 small loop also with a cross over as I recall!!! 😊🚂🚂🚂

Good afternoon Jimmy James thank you for looking great to hear you had some Lego railway as a child, it's fascinating stuff, must take many hours to build those very large model locomotives.. Oscar
@kellyashfordtrains26425 ай бұрын
Jimmy didn't have to be turned on the turntable. You could have simply reversed him on to the loop and couple up to the other end of the coaches, so as to go back bunker first. That's what front couplings are for. You do need to close the gap in the rails. Unscrew the track from the board, push the track pieces together and screw back down again. Jimmy the Jinty is my favourite LMS tank engine.

Morning Oscar, another great start to Sunday. Pleased you now have a nice rake of Maroon Clerestory coaches to run behind the ex-Caledonian single. they also look good behind the LMS maroon Jinty, but it's funny how much of a colour variation there is between the Jinty and the coaches. The Jinty appears a touch Pink compared to the coaches, but that is all part of the fun of running/collecting Vintage toy trains. The show footage was very interesting, particularly the Lego layout. The Lego railway items have come along way since I collected it in the late 60's/early 70's. Eagerly await next weeks instalment, best wishes to you and Roberta from Rob & Sue in Glawwwwsterrr.
@oscarpaisley5 ай бұрын
Good afternoon Sue & Rob, thanks for looking in, Great to hear you enjoyed the footage from the show. Looks like a great amount of work going into those Lego models. There's a good few years between the LMS Jinty and the Clerestory coaches, pretty sure thy have a paint finish. All the best. Oscar

Like Hazelbury yard but I hope there’s no cows in these cattle wagons being hump shunted 😂 0-60 in seconds ! Quite a variety of layouts at the exhibition . Don’t think I’ve ever seen O gauge DB layout before . I thought in Germany it’s usually Gauge 1
@oscarpaisley5 ай бұрын
Afternoon Russell great you enjoyed that. Hump shunting layout was quite a lot of fun top watch. I've seen it there in the past with queues of children waiting to have a go at choosing where to send the wagons. All the best. Oscar

Have you considered installing some of the old Hornby Dublo electric semaphore signals on the Dublo part of your layout? I have had a few on my layout since the 1990's and they've not failed so far bearing in mind that they were made before 1965. If you could interlock them with point motors, it might reduce the instances of "forgetting to switch a point" mishaps, in your videos.
