@@AndrewBrowner ppl are weird and will travel. I won't want some random weirdo just stop in my house or work place to say hi. If I don't know you I wouldn't want you just stopping by where my family is located. Just b/c you think you're cool doesn't mean it's o.k. to invade someone's privacy. Most likely you're not that cool and probably more creepy.

I’ve known Rich a while, good friend and live near him. He’s done work on my equipment and trucks before his shift to all KZbin content. I rarely just “drop in on him”. He’s largely a one-man shop. The work he does to keep creating great content is relentless. If he isn’t serious about treating it like the full time job it is, this channel will not work. There’s really not a lot of time for chit chat with all the projects he’s juggling. I’ve had to learn to respect his space myself 🙃

Nice video! We never stained the decking on our trailers. We also used boards that were 3/8-1/2” taller than the beams. That way the machinery tracks would be on wood. This kept the steel from getting worn and the wood kept the machine from sliding

I used a clear coat on my trailer deck. I sprinkled a little grit sand on it while still wet. It worked pretty well and it helped with the slipperiness when wet. Learn that trick from an asphalt guy putting sand on top of a freshly sealed driveway.

Yes I said Stranger, we may know who they are and enjoy the content they create but overall beyond the videos they put out they are strangers to us and more so us to them! To think people drive hundreds of miles in some cases to take coffee to there favorite content creator and in there mind see nothing wrong with that. I bet they get all pissy if you have an attitude as well might even think you owe them that one on one time!

I don't think it's just a creator thing... A couple of years ago a random woman walked _inside of my garage,_ while I was under a car and unable to see her, and started asking if it was so-and-so's house. ...I've seen more than one horror movie that started that way, especially when it comes to an unaccompanied woman just blundering around in a strange man's residence. I wouldn't believe how stupid people have become if I couldn't see it with my own eyes.

Looks awesome! I have the same itch to buy a sawmill for here on the farm. I also feel your pain with stripping off old decks and putting new on- I just did my F-350 flat bed (looked like this might be the 4th deck so imagine the shotgun blast of broken self tappers I had to avoid) and my 27’ gooseneck trailer. Exactly like you said, painful while doing it, lots of broken tips and drill bits but taking the time to do 3/8” carriage bolts and hardware makes me happy that both look good and are easier maintenance/replacement whenever.

Man, sawmill work always reminds me of my first job, a neighbor had a portable mill he used for custom orders, it was a lot bigger and mostly hydraulic but the sawn lumber still had to be pulled, stickered, and stacked. Hardest day I did we cut around 20 48-56" tulip logs for somebody doing woodworking. They wanted the widest possible slabs at 2.5 inches thick. That lumber was brutally heavy, I can't even believe I did a full 10 hours of that.

I love your words of wisdom at the end about getting dirty and getting it done.. Motivation is sometimes an issue for me, so I appreciate the bump. And for God's sake people, leave these KZbinr's alone! Somewhere, somehow, sometime, someone has failed you miserably. Show some respect and afford these folks the privacy they deserve. I know it feels like you get to know people because you spend so much "virtual time" with them, but that is not a relationship. Boundaries, y'all!

So cool to see him make lumber out of logs.

Nice mill. Looks like a Husky 395xp. I have one that I built. Big bore, Meteor piston, Caber rings, modded muff, advanced timing, modded carb, full-chisel, Sugi bar, etc etc. She's a ripper. Great saw, doesn't get used as much as my 372 or 346 Huskies, or any of my Stihls either. I have a bunch of them. Cheapo ms250, ms440 mag, 026's, ms660, ms880 mag. All built by yours truly. Other than turning wrenches on vehicles for more than a few decades, I got bitten by the saw bug after I started working for a tree service company. In case anyone couldn't tell LMFAO 😆 I try to recycle used motor oil for staining/ treating the decking whenever possible. Works awesome and it's free. 😁👍

That decking looks great, but I wouldn’t of drilled the frame… all new lowboys just drill the wood and use carriage bolts and large washers to catch the frame. Makes changing out broken boards a half hour job even with rust. You know what’s it’s like changing them out drilling the frame. I had 2 lowboys running up north in the oilfields of alaska, rust grew on moss.

I would love to see a rollback build for Tewsley. But a quick build that wouldn't take very long is a nice gate. Its totally different if one were to bump into you at the grocery store and take just a moment of your time vs just show up uninvited not only where you work but where you and your family live. Thats a private area. However it would need to be a big gate so that there is room for the trailer to follow aa you turn in and out of your driveway. Maybe build a wide gate that rolls rather than swing and split it in half that way it doesn't take so long to fully open.
