I have never made a hoodie before, but I want the skillset in my arsenal, so I did a bit of YouTubing to figure out the basics and then from there made it happen by trial and error.
Step one: drafting.
Step two: cutting.
Step three: sewing.
Step four: curse my mistakes, make improvements and return to step one.

More than decent! That is a nice looking hoodie, and I enjoyed watching your design process. That finish on the last one is amazing, clean and sharp. Can´t wait to see the final construction.

Well thank you. I wanted to show how designing for me is just a case of starting simple and adding / adjusting, little by little. Thanks for watching.

Im a great fan of your channel and I love your humour. your a joy to watch. I bought a Burda hoodie pattern to make one of these, and I have to say, you doing all this "from your head" is actually more effective than the commercial hoodie pattern I purchased. In my pattern, struggled with the stupid eyelet thingies, and didnt think to use the "buttonhole" facility on my computerised machine Doh lol. So you have given me other options to try out next time. I also adore the video with your mom too, bless you both. Much love and best wishes from the United Kingdom :-)

Terry, thank you so much. I think it might be an ego thing, but I really like to figure out things on my own. By making patterns myself, it gives me an understanding of how different shapes wear. Thank you again for the kind words and for watching.

Gasp, you do know how to flatter. I am a big fan of Sebastian's classic sense of design! Also, I find myself liking Christian as a mentor.

Corn, pretty unique method of pattern drafting you've used, but it worked. Measuring your head, can I admit I laughed, but it worked, and entertained me as well. It's your eyes, they're so expressive! I do like the way you worked out your problems, and your using a set square and a French Curve too, wow, your getting even more serious 😳. I knew you would, you love a challenge and tackle them well. I'm impressed, again 👍👏😊 and very happy with your Vlog so far on your Hoodie 😁 and can't wait for the next part. Oh, I've got to wait a week 🤔. We'll, I'm pretty patient 😇, I like your Vlogs so I'll be here when you post it, definitely count me in 😌☺️😁

Oh Janet, you sure do know how to flatter a boy. What I have learned about myself is that I learn best by trial and error. I am not good with theory & books. I like to try things and see how it goes. Then I learn and improve from my errors. I do like a challenge and really do want to get good at making myself clothes. Not only do I appreciate you watching, I appreciate your comments.
