Abused his mom. Abused his girlfriend. Not a real parent to his "baby girl" or any of his kids. Yet, he got arrested by a female officer, got prosecuted by a female DA, a female juror handed over the guilty verdicts, was sentenced to the rest of his life in prison by a female judge and, most importantly, was destroyed by a female witness, his ex girlfriend, who he will never be able to contact again.

I hear ya - but he’s pushing for a mistrial & the judge has to do everything in her power to avoid both mistrial and an appeal. My bet is he’ll try to get a public defender to file an appeal- which may or may not be granted. Also, the judge went on record today saying that the reason she doesn’t hold him in contempt of court is that it will only delay the trial further. It’s frustrating but he’s doing it on purpose. And he’s gonna disappear into oblivion when they give him 1,000 years in prison.
@jo_nathan_nation6544
@jo_nathan_nation6544 2 жыл бұрын
The judge addressed this earlier. He’s technically acting in contempt but she did not want to charge him with contempt because it would postpone this trial. She felt it to be an injustice to the process and the jury if she were to do so. The reality is he’s facing around 70 felony charges and one charge of misconduct or contempt of court isn’t worth postponing the trial being that those are misdemeanors.

He's not a narcissist unfortunately he is insane. Trying to defend himself like a lot of people who are insane do Dr Kevorkian did it. As well as countless others that's their right I just don't find anything funny or amusing about it and all the snippet comments you know great coming from somebody sitting behind a computer scratching their asses. Content with looking and making comments like their attorneys. When this man is definitely mentally ill you could say on the verge of insanity I don't see nothing funny about it. The bottom line is it could have been avoided if they had 302 to him when he tried to kill his ex-girlfriend. Obviously they sent him home didn't do s***. And then he went ran down people at a parade. Also remember he's not the only person who ran down people. Several people in the last past two to three years have gotten in their vehicle and used it as a killing machine. I don't see them on court TV. You'll never see them on air. And they weren't even insane like this man is.

Right between her and the DA's are angelic! This has to be frustrated for the DA's b/c he is getting more leeway than they are since they are held to a higher standard even though it's not suppose to happen like that. Judge Dorow had already made it through that far and didn't want to get anyone us himed up over a technicality! Ppl get confused that conduct does not outweigh any illegal technicalities so if something was inadmissible for instance and there was a foul, if big enough, it would outweigh his conduct in the eyes of the appellate court! I love Judge Dorow but her leniency I do believe hindered her in the Supreme Court judge seating that she lost b/c of the level of backbone needed!

His behavior in general during this ENTIRE TRIAL is proof of how narcissistic he is. This was all about *him*, his victims were barely even an afterthought. How could you face your victims and question them about their memory of such a traumatic event? How could he comfortably accuse one victim of "making up" her emotional damage? How could he agree to serve as his own attorney and warned EXTENSIVELY about the difficulties of that and that he WOULD NOT be provided legal assistance, and then claims his rights were impeded upon because he wasn't given help? And then, when he IS given help by the prosecution (multiple times), he blatently says they were no help at all and they should have given him more help. The judge ALSO helped him as a courtesy and then stops because he behaves like a disrespectful child, he cries out that he's being railroaded because she won't help him anymore. He is a narcissist and believes the world should bend to his will. He could have easily fought this case and probably gotten a lesser charge (such as vehicular manslaughter or murder) or gotten a lesser sentence had he had proper counsel making claims (such as insanity or that he panicked and this was a very unfortunate result and that he is so regretful of that) but instead he showed the jury EXACTLY how remorseless he is, which is why he was given the maximum sentence. I honestly don't believe he WANTED to hurt anyone. I believe he was angry and just didn't CARE if he hurt anyone. But due to this trial and his behavior during, it is difficult to make such a case.

He truly is completely scum, and I laughed when he told the Judge that 20 or more would want to give statements on his behalf, and the only people that spoke were his mom and grandma, who both lied about his fake mental illness, and tried to get a dirty murderer a pass, when they were both complicit in his behavior over the years… and the other woman who spoke for him had to read from a script, so she obviously wasn’t someone who believed anything she was saying either… DB deserves the same kind of treatment, basically the same kind of warnings, and time that the victims were given that he drove over and killed… He should be forced to live in Gen Pop and dead and live hopefully a long torturous life that he deserves for the people he killed and those he injured, and those that forever will have emotional problems because of his vile evil behavior… he deserves everything he gave to the people he drove over…. I almost puked when he said we won’t understand why this was Gods will. He is just sick and evil, and used the Bible as a prop, when he was never raised reading it, he was never raised Christian, he is the Devils son, and he will go straight to his maker one day, and his maker isn’t God, it is something evil and vile.

If, by some fantastic stroke of luck, some detail,, he is freed, well, any horror reaction would be understandable. However, even if he is imprisoned -- hell, ever if he died -- the loss and wounds of hundreds, if not more, will be difficult and long, and for some, permanently physically and / or emotionally crippling. It is unspeakably revolting to behold his impertinence and infinite cheek. Judge Dorow is stepping very carefully and her continued calm is incredible. Her strategy is to get this efficiently d-o-n-e. She said that she can charge him with contempt, but explained that it would delay the case. She has an amazingly cool head, before Brooks' incessant bratty, mish-mash interruptions and insults. She knows what she's doing

What a clown. 6:07:57 He can't STAND not being in control. 🙄 When the detective was questioning him after his crimes, he made this huge deal about how the detective didn't tell him he was being questioned as the suspect for the parade attack. Almost a year passed by the time this day in court rolled around, AND HE STILL CAN'T LET IT GO. He's asking questions about why the detective didn't tell him he was being detained for the parade attack. But here's the thing that Brooks doesn't understand. He wasn't being detained for the parade attack. They can suspect him all they want, but they can't arrest him for it if he's just a suspect with no evidence to warrant an arrest. What I feel this detective should have maybe explained better (and this may be on Brooks part in his shitty cross questions) is that he wasn't detained or arrested for the parade attack. He was arrested for the charges the detective listed. The initial charges are just an excuse to keep him in custody while they gather more information regarding the attack, enough to charge him at a later time. And the reason the detective didn't tell Brooks he was the suspect of the attack was because the detective was most likely attempting to follow the Reid interrogation technique, which requires you to build a rapport, then ask broad questions about their timeline around the timeframe in question. Then you slowly reveal details that contradict their story in an attempt to get them to change their story to accommodate them. This shows their conscious effort to lie. Lying and concealment in most states is evidence of consciousness of guilt, which gets the "guilty by reason of insanity or mental illness" defense thrown out. The Reid technique does a lot of heavy lifting, and it uses manipulation and concealment of known facts to discredit false stories. And Darrell Brooks can't stand it when someone else is the manipulator. This is why he gets mad in the interrogation video, and this is why he's questioning the detective about it a year later. He can't get over that someone manipulated him.

I wonder if the court reporter/stenographer is sitting there typing exactly what is said even though most of it isn’t grammatically correct and occasionally aren’t even real words being used. The reason I’d like to know is because if it’s exactly what is being said then on a transcript it would read opposite in a lot of instances to what was truly being said. Example… Judge: “Mr Brooks, do you have any follow up questions for this witness?” Mr Brooks: “I ain’t got no follow up for him” Would the stenographer type it out exactly how he says it or would she fix it because it’s obvious he meant no? If she’s not allowed to “fix” it then it could be read as though he did have more for that witness and was ignored. “I ain’t got no questions” would read on paper like “I don’t have nothing” so “I do have something because I don’t have nothing”. Do anyone understand me or am I nutty?
