Oh man let’s see if i can even remember lol the main conflicts of season 8 that i can remember were the wings (lead by impulse and wels) vs no wings phase (championed by iskall who used tridents and bdubs who used horses) followed by the boatem (grian, scar, mumbo, impulse, pearl) vs big eyes (bdubs, tango, zedaph) vs octagon (ren and doc) shopping district and prank war face off. Then the moon got big and crashed into the server. It was a very short season where the hermits lived in groups and experimented with roleplaying. X and wels had a whole thing with evilX and hels, doc and ren lived in the matrix, impulse inherited a candy factory, xB and hypno ran horse head farms and worked almost exclusively in IOU’s, jev was green?? It was also gem and pearl’s first season. Gem was a cottegecore faun who lived with stress and false and had dealings with the big eyes (gem is great) and pearl was head of the boatem pole. Tango’s final few episodes of flying to the moon to try to blow it up and save the server were genuinely very good. However, the shortness of the season and rush to complete things left a lot of hermits burnt out. Then came season nine-finity, which rivaled season 6 for length. It started with the diamond towers arc, which came about bc the newest update made diamond ore so plentiful. Groups competed to stack the most of it. The excess of diamonds was starting to create crazy inflation, which lead to the appointment of king ren, who took all the diamonds and threw them into The Pit. He then began to redistribute them as rewards for kingly tasks, services for the server type stuff. But as with any king, his rule and court became corrupt and so the soup group (impulse, gem, and pearl) lead a resistance against him. Grian was determined to not start the resistance himself this season, but he did offer Resistance Assistance, for both the soup group and the king bc of a loophole. The arc culminated in a series of trials designed by the court members that the rest of the server worked together to complete. Impulse slayed king ren and he stepped down. Immediately after was the first great hermitcraft charity minigame event. Afterwards was the great empires crossover. Most of the hermitcraft server was transported via a nether portal under grian’s base to the empires smp. Tango and jimmy had a cute rancher reunion. Scar became a deputy. Keralis and sausage were sus. Gem tried to pretend she didn’t know who the hermits were. They built a massive grumbot and left. And then came the era of hermitcraft tcg. Card game madness was rampant for months. There was a tournament and etho beat xB in the final round. Then came a few months of waiting for decked out 2. I can’t even remember what anyone was doing bc I was waiting for decked out 2. (I remembered. Scar and grian accidentally destroyed doc’s tunnel bore which started a massive prank war between grian, scar, mumbo vs doc and ren.) After that I’m pretty sure everything was DO2 until the very end. Etho won by points, but pearl solved all the puzzles to become the master. Scar came third place in points and we’re all genuinely very proud of him for it. Everyone’s builds were fantastic but emphasis has to be placed on Scarland, which is now a community memorial for the late queen jellie
