@@alfiecollins5617 in his prime with a full recovery he could definitely go sub 4 in mile repeats is what I meant. Now out of his prime he could average 4:10-20. 4:30 with short recovery.

The mile isint a race at the diamond leages or really anywhere with high caliber athletes, they race the 1500, which his record is 3:28 .. which is 3:43 mile pace bud.. id say in his prime.. yes. He could do repeats sub 4. Idk where you get your logic from but it makes no sense to not be able to run a few seconds faster during repeats than during a non-stop race

@@alfiecollins5617 do you run competitively? Because you got it totally backwards. You run slower than race pace. But intervals are always either at or faster than race pace. Been doing it for over a decade, and 5 years participating in college athletics while studying it. Early in the season you'll do reps slower. But come the big races, nah, intervals are always faster than goal race pace. Otherwise your training to run even slower than your intervals pace. If your racing faster than your intervals pacing, then your not doing intervals right and are missing out on your potential.
