Fiza hit the nail on the head. Yep, it would indeed go well with BBQ chicken and/or on a picnic. That's definitely one of the ways and places we tendto eat potato salad is at picnics and BBQ's as a side-dish along with roast / barbecued chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs [sausages], etc. May also have similar "macaroni salad" among other things [fruit salad, etc.]...

Typically potato salad has mayonnaise and maybe a bit of mustard, with maybe some other herbs & spices, black pepper, or whatnot.

I love the new name for tortillas: Turtle Chips! You all bring me such joy in learning to see our American culture in new ways. And absolutely--serve this will BBQ chicken dishes. And, yes you can eat it for breakfast---I do sometimes. I put hard boiled eggs in mine, so it really is a full meal. Great video!!

Potato salad I make has onion, green peppers, sometimes celery, hard boils eggs, and delicious relish. I make macaroni salad the same way. Sometimes I add a little mustard to the mayonnaise for a little more color, and I do add a little sugar to take some of the tartness out.

so many types of potato salad .. I think every family has there own recipe I like to mix in hard boiled eggs and green onions bit of celery and radish .. mix it up with mayo and just a bit of mustard as well .. and salt and pepper to taste. I tend to leave it in the fridge over night before serving so the flavours mix together.

Well this was a bit odd. Fayaz talked and talked about his thoughts and ideas but never really gave an opinion about the taste. His plate looked untouched from beginning to end and we never actually saw him take a bite. Did he even try it? 😅

My family makes potato salad with diced celery, onion, and a dressing of mayo, a little vinegar or lemon, salt, pepper, celery seed, and maybe some parsley. My Dad, late in his life, developed an unusual twist: He started using lime for the acidity. You wouldn't think lime would go well, but it gave a surprising brightness to the potato salad, a little "Hmmm, what IS that?"

Please that this be served cold and no cream or yogurt! I do a simple potato salad-potatoes, mayonnaise, dill relish (chopped pickles) and I might add in some mustard. Salt too but no black pepper.

May I say that potato salad is not loved by the Americans.I love making potato salad here in the UK although I only make in the summer when Jersey Royal new potatoes are in supermarkets. It's their eathy flavour that makes them great for potato salad.
