@@isnaini4530 wonderful! Many major religions do also. Unfortunately not many people are devout enough to actually care. I used to keep money in my car to give to homeless people. No matter how much I needed the money it wasn't for me.. Many of my friends, who profess to be religious, would chastise me. Telling me the beggars were only going to spend that money on drugs or alcohol. I would reply, "I would rather give money to 100 people, knowing that perhaps 99 will spend it on drugs or alcohol, than miss the one person who is hungry." May the Lord bless those who are hungry and provide devout people the means to help them.

I'm thinking prepared eggnog would be hard to find there, so this is probably homemade. And homemade eggnog is so delicious. I will be making George Washington's eggnog recipe later this month. I think once you've had homemade eggnog, you'll never want to drink the grocery store kind again.

I feel the same way about pumpkin pie. Most pumpkin pie you get from the store is crap and if you make it at home, that stuff from a can is awful. You need to actually take a pumpkin and roast it in the oven and then make pie out of it. Sweet potato, yam, pumpkin, even squash, it's all good! Pumpkin pie is really just eggnog (raw custard) with pumpkin, poured into a pie crust and baked.

Sadly, the KFC is seen as weird in the US, because we eat too much of it all year long. Japan sees it as more of a treat (and they don't have the typical Christmas traditions, anyway). Glad Mama Mustafa liked the eggnog! It's polarizing here--people either love it or hate it. And yes, Manzoor, alcohol is often mixed in, for adults

One of the best episodes imho. The way Manzoor teases Mehboob with the alcohol thing and he's like "you can't fool me, I know what's in it", and then he references the people who used to complain about Mustafa's reluctance to eat. Then they had a more proper tamal (big respect to the team for taking the advice of the fans). At this point KFC should sponsor you :D

Bro although I am from Pakistan I don't get why you would say that for Americans. These tribal people are from Pakistan and you can see how sweet and friendly they all look, right? l mean so much so that you'll almost forget that stoning and burning people alive on petty issues is still very much a common practice in Pakistan 🥲 yet you will still not see us bad mouthing the country bc we know that it doesnot represent all of us and especially even you as foreigners can still see the good in us regardless of all negative shit, so we feel the same way for America. I have my negative and positive opinions on America but one thing is for sure that, the US has achieved what most countries can not even dream of. You should be proud of it.

The eggs are cooked like a thin custard. I dont but many add alcohol to it. Whiskey, rum or bourbon . They make a huge bowl that they set out with snacks. We always had it on Christmas eve night or family Christmas parties

hmm it depends what part of the country ethnic culture you are what eat Christmas , mostly a ham or roast I asked mom for roast brisket this time, had married relatives were Polish they liked pierogies pasta stuffed with potatoes cheese topped sour cream. they were friends with Italian people cooked baked ziti pasta with tomatosauce and mozzarella cheese sausage, big trays of lasagna and pasta salad, trays of cold cuts and pickles, olives and, nuts. were popular too northeastern part of country. Midwestern states live now like their Hispanic food tamales they ate, very popular here for Christmas parties spicy cheese dip Velveeta block of cheese melted with canned Rotel salsa and either ground sausage or ground beef if you want and tortilla chips. My teacher from Central America Costa Rica liked Halibut pickled raw in lime juice with Pico de gallo in it. ca veche. it was very very tasty but halibut is expensive fish only made once or twice at holidays. She also made us Chicken Tortilla soup it is very very good on cold days. In the old days down south my great grandmother was good at making gingerbread they didn't have a lot of money in those days whatever you canned during summer and fall stored away and gingerbread the kids were lucky to receive fruit oranges or apples. Some of the other mamaws there made apple stack cake flat layers of cake like with layers of applebutter in between them they canned a lot of applebutter during the fall. Some of the coastal areas love their shrimp, lobster rolls, dips, seafood.

I think they got mince pies confused with Christmas pudding. There is a tradition of everyone helping to stir the pudding mixture, but not minced pies.

5:46 "Comment your favorite Christmas dish" Honestly? The very one you're preparing to try as you say that. But fudge is a very close second. Oooo, and banana bread! Christmas is honestly my second-favorite holiday of the year, simply because of all the wonderful foods and drinks.

Nice that you gave them a fork, but the only time i eat a tamale with a fork is if it's on a plate with other things. Also, I like dipping mine in a creamy salsa verde. We sometimes add alcohol to our eggnog. Egg nog lattes are also popular.

In the United States KFC is closed on Christmas but if they were opened I’m pretty sure a lot of people would be getting a bucket of chicken. I know in Asian countries they eat KFC on Christmas because Christmas is a Christian holiday and most of those people are not Christians so KFC is open. They said Japan does it and I know for a fact China does it so I’m assuming other Asian countries also get KFC for Christmas as a treat.

It was a marketing stunt KFC did back in the 70's. They told everyone in Japan that Americans get KFC for Christmas. Now it has become a Japanese tradition to eat fried chicken on Christmas eve. Not just KFC, fried chicken is so popular at Christmas many other restaurants and even 711 offer special fried chicken dinners to take home for Christmas.

Good food is the way to world peace. It’s honestly that simple. We need a potluck of everyone from their town, village, country, etc. and meet for an enormous potluck. Eggnog, roti, mince meat pies, chicken, curries, tamales, all of it.

These people fill this American with such warmth…I was so flattered by Mama Mustafa’s comments and the others at times! It’s also funny to me that so many people I know here in the U.S.A. detest eggnog! I think it’s lovely myself, but a rich treat meant to take in moderation. Tamales are delicious too! Merry Christmas distant friends!
