Heh, heh, heh. I think you're right. Each has his own spin on reality; and they are always direct and honest. My favorite was when they almost all universally spat out the sushi/sashimi. As to their takes on the coffee; yeah, my wife likes regular Starbucks but I think it's too bitter. The ice cream coffee's are good, but it's really just half-melted ice cream and coffee. Somewhat too sweet. Back to the people. Is the one guy an actual doctor or ? He always has some medical review or comment, they're usually pretty funny. My favorite of all is the older guy (might be my age, mid-50's) who is always just really straight-forward. Maybe bring back the ladies a bit and the kids are good to see as well.

“White people like unusual things.” That’s funny. I think coffee may have come originally from Ethiopia or was first cultivated on the Arabian Peninsula in what is now Yemen mainly. White people didn’t start consuming it until much later. Most of us don’t really like it at first either. It’s an acquired taste. I have a cup of coffee in front of me now and was thinking about making some moka (sort of espresso) in my stovetop moka pot in a minute. But I hated coffee at first. I didn’t start drinking it until I was in the Army. I was stationed in Germany and we would stay out really late and drink beer and shots of Jaegermeister and cognac and whatever else and would have to have coffee to get going when we had to get up a few hours later. I would pour it over ice and milk with a bunch of sugar and just guzzle a couple of glasses of it that way at first. Now I just drink it strong and black. I would not have been able to do that at first. It’s definitely an acquired taste. I need my caffeine though. I drink tea too, but mostly iced tea, and I don’t sweeten that or put any milk in it or anything. I have diabetes now but I didn’t like sweet tea before that either. People look at you funny here in the American South if you don’t like sweet tea. The only problem with drinking coffee and tea without sugar is that you taste it if you don’t have good coffee or tea to begin with. You don’t hide the defects with sugar and cream. The very best black coffee will taste horrible to most who aren’t coffee drinkers though. I enjoy watching these guys. They’re funny and seem like nice people and Americans especially need to see that people from all over are more alike than different and there are good people everywhere. I am glad this show exists.
@kurtkyre3 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Coffee was always part of my upbringing, however. I am told that my grandfather (Mother's side) would start us with a few drops in our bottles as babies. I didn't drink it much growing up, but in the Coast Guard, I drank a lot of it (sometimes a whole pot in a four hour watch) with lots of milk and sugar. I stopped the milk and sugar, and have had it black for more than 30 years now. Infrequently, I will get some of that sweetened non dairy creamer, but only rarely. I'd be curious to see (haven't watched the full video yet) if they try iced black coffee, rather than the dessert like treat they are trying.
@billgriggs34263 жыл бұрын
@@kurtkyre Coffee in baby bottles? I've never heard of anyone doing that. People generally don't do things that might make it harder for babies to sleep. That's kind of the opposite of what parents tend to want. It's been a while since I watched this video . I don't think they had black iced coffee. I don't think I've ever had black iced coffee. It's always been sweet stuff. I really liked Vietnamese coffee, not coffee from Vietnam, but the kind you get at Vietnamese restaurants made with the pour over phin filter on top of some sweetened condensed milk. Then you stir it up and pour it over ice. The Vietnamese restaurants where I live tend to use Cafe du Monde for that, the stuff in the orange can from Louisiana. It's a coffee with chicory the serve at the famous Cafe du Monde restaurant in New Orleans where they serve coffee and beignets. Most all the Vietnamese restaurants here use that and we have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants because most Vietnamese refugees came to a disused military base here in the 70s that was used for refugees and many stayed here. Actual Vietnamese coffee isn't great. We have a Vietnamese family friend who owns a restaurant and he has terrible things to say about these communist coffee producers. He's been in these places where they produce it and says you should only buy it if you like rat turds in your coffee. Anyway, try Vietnamese coffee or Cafe Sua Da at a Vietnamese restaurant some time. It's great. We bought phin filters at the Asian Market and used to make it at home. It’s a great coffee drink for hot summer days and it’s a fancy and delicious as something you might get at Starbucks. But then I got diagnosed with diabetes so I can't do sugary anything anymore. I liked being able to make something at home for a tenth of what it costs in restaurants and have it be exactly like the expensive stuff at the restaurant.
@kurtkyre3 жыл бұрын
@@billgriggs3426 Yeah, I'd definitely not put coffee in a baby's bottle if I'd had kids, hehe. But, that was a different time. I love that Vietnamese drip coffee! I recently had Cafe Du Monde here at the house, thanks to a friend who hated it, so they gave it to me. I used it up! Also, thanks to Covid, I haven't been to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in many months. I'm phond of pho... (little joke there) in the winter, and the bun bowl in the summer. They laugh at me because I always order extra meatballs in my pho. Hate it for you on the diabetes. I have been really watching my a1c more closely over the past few years, myself. It's a good question. I have never acquired the taste, and even the flavor of it ruins stuff like ice cream for me. I like the smell of the beans, but not the smell after its been brewed. My wife is currently having her morning coffee, and I can smell it from here. :D

@@beastvader Coffee wasn't discovered by Ottoman Turks but it was introduced to Europe via them. The earliest credible evidence of coffee drinkers comes from Sufis in Yemen, in the 15th century, who used the beverage as an aid to concentration and as a kind of spiritual intoxication when they chanted the name of God.

Tahir is always giving us health advice and I am here for it. All of them are my favorites. I am 56 years young and I never had coffee, not even tasted it. My Grandfather used to harvest it in Puerto Rico and I just could not tolerate the strong brew smell of it. I am not a tea drinker unless I am sick and I am also not fond of sodas either. I have to be in the mood for it. What I do love is water or passion fruit juice or sorrel. See you on your next video!✌🏽

@@toomanyaccounts Well, that's always the case with just about anything. My brother wouldn't drink it so we always had a pitcher of kool-aid in the fridge for him.
