​yes, exactly... 'acchā' literally means "good" in Hindustani (Hindi/Urdu).... as in 'khānā bahut acchā hai', or "the food is very good", but it can also be used in many different ways.... For example, to say "oh really?", you can say 'acchā?', or you can say it drawn out like 'acchā!', which is basically "I see!"

There is no right or wrong way to eat your food. You just eat it it suit your own tastes. Having said that, I do wish the gentlemen could be instructed on how it’s typically eaten first. Have them try it the “traditional” way so they can get the full effect of the food as it was intended…then they can eat it however they wish. Then will get even more enjoyment out of the process. ✌🏻💕😊

You know, this channel has really shifted my perspective on life and opened up my world. I live a cushy life in a high income country (Singapore). After watching this channel I started to appreciate what I have much more, especially the little things. The things I take for granted are cherished and sometimes hard to come by these men. Also, these guys did more for my perception of Pakistan and Islam than any national campaign. They should be national ambassadors, not even kidding.

I worked for a company that produced waffle irons for a long time. The kids always loved the custom plates we'd make. You can do Mickey Mouse head shaped or basically whatever shape you want and get the metal die guy to create it.

That’s not entirely true. You can order chicken and waffles with boneless, Buffalo chicken rather than just fried chicken. Then you get the boneless chicken with a buffalo/spicy sauce coating on top of the waffle as well as syrup on the side like usual. At least I’ve seen that many times where I live. And it’s delicious! The mix of spicy, sweet and savory is just everything! 😁 I’ve also seen this dish served with spicy syrup. Which is just maple syrup and Buffalo sauce mixed together…then they coat the chicken with that and give extra syrup for the waffle. So, there are many ways they are eaten in the US. Just wish the guys would have tried the chicken & waffle together in one bite with the syrup on both. ✌🏻😊

Maybe YOU don't, but maybe SOME do. (I don't put hot sauce on anything because I don't like anything spicy.) Where I'm from in Pennsylvania, if you ordered chicken and waffles, you would get braised chicken in gravy served over waffles. No fried chicken, hot sauce OR syrup, because that is not how the Pennsylvania Dutch do chicken & waffles (and they originated the dish, fyi.) My point is that chicken and waffles may be eaten any number of ways depending on where you live and what your tastes are. And I do know that SOME folks eat their fried chicken & waffles with hot honey.

Why didn't anyone tell them that the hot sauce is for the chicken and the syrup for the waffles but they all can be eaten together by just pouring both over the items on the plate? Most of them didn't get the idea about the sauces so they thought the chicken was bland and the waffle was just interesting looking bread/cake. I am so glad that these people are getting the opportunity to taste the flavors of different cultures and also that they are getting extra meals. Most seem to be happy and grateful.

Hot sauce doesn't belong at all! That chicken is crying out to be drizzled with honey or maple syrup, right along with the companion waffle. It is inexplicable why anyone would ruin chicken and waffles with something fiery. Those who want to burn their taste buds off should go enjoy themselves by drinking from a bottle of Tabasco, or dipping their already hot wings in cayenne, or covering their egg rolls in Chinese mustard. Don't suggest contaminating chicken and waffles with hot sauce!

This is one of my favorite meals, but only when I cook it myself. I like the chicken spicy and the waffle to not be sweet. Sweet waffles interfere with pure maple syrup. There are also so many sauces to experiment with for sweet and savory and sweet and spicy combinations. And cornbread waffles are also delicious with chicken and waffles meal. The us "belgian style" waffles, generally refer to the thick waffles with deep pockets. The waffle dough, batter, toppings, and accompaniments vary according to personal preferences. Like any food, what is popular isn't the same as being authentic. And what individuals like doesn't always represent the country of origin or apply to every chef or individual that makes it. I enjoy foods, techniques, aesthetics, and recipes from many different countries. However, what I make will always represent my individuality before any country or region. Chicken and waffles is a meal I ate from several different restaurants before deciding that I would enjoy it more by making it myself. Even so, I change my own recipes often. Because I can. The chef that made this meal may have chosen a specific recipe because he can. Food can inspire. The combinations are nearly unlimited.

I’m so excited that everyone liked the! Waffles in the United States are normally a breakfast meal. Chicken and waffles is usually eaten by those who live down south in certain states of the country I live in the north east and chicken with waffles is not common here. My favorite Way and my daughters favorite way to eat waffles with ice cream when we go on vacation there’s a restaurant that serves a waffle with toffee tasting ice cream and bananas and whip cream and a cherry and chocolate sauce. You would all go crazy for it is the most amazing thing we have to share it. It’s too big once they add the ice cream and all the toppings.. Thank you for making me smile. God bless you.

But seriously, waffles and pancakes both go well with a lot of things, I suppose. Like bread, roti, and naan. When Dr. Tahir spread the hot sauce on the waffle I winced a little. I was waiting him to not like it. I don't think I would like it. The sweet roti Mr. Gul Sher described sounds so good. The raisins and pistachios with almonds and fennel? So good. So, how about pancakes? Serve them with butter and maple syrup. Or a couple with that and a couple with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
