im gonna keep it real, the tribes playtest was much too bare bones. Tribes ascend had so much variation in gameplay mechanics, vehicles, much larger maps with buildings and purpose built interiors, classes, etc. What was shown in the playtest was simply not enough, just because im using a spinfusor and skiing doesnt mean its tribes, there is a lot more to what made the game good (i.e. first of its kind netcode to allow for large scale battles)

Oh, I totally agree. The feeling is there, but we will see when the game is released, it's hard to fully judge it from the demo and playtest, there are definitely medium maps in the demo but I'm not going to pretend it's what it used to be. I see the bones there, I want the flesh, the meat on the bones!

Played the shit out of Tribes back in the late 90's. It's hard to imagine capturing the magic of the original release because it was so groundbreaking it so many ways. Definitely gonna give it a shot though, thanks for the gameplay footage.
