Thanks for the update... Key takeaways: I had last heard 34 miles so 50 miles is a 50% gain... with the 34 miles by Texas the total was 491 miles, but 50 miles adds another 16 miles for a new total of 507 miles!!! Good to know the goal is 8000 miles in TX and that they have built 6% (48 miles; 50 miles is 6.25%, but rounding is fine of course). There are 6 counties where this wall is going up. The wall is in 3 Border Patrol regions/sectors. TX is not using eminent domain, but working with landowners that volunteer to have the wall on their land. 30% of landowners are rejecting the offer so 70% are taking the offer. Note that every mile is likely to redirect traffic to the gaps making it easier to patrol the gaps and reducing manpower. Note too that there are 1,954 miles of border with MX.

If land owners refuse cooperate then they should pay an increase in an open boarder tax , on their land, for not helping to stop the influx of drugs and illegal immigrants on their land ,because that is were the crossings will take place, and if such people are caught then, a prosecution must be in-forced ,as they will be considered as part takers , in this crime, any one that fails to cooperate must be named and shamed , to the rest of the country , as anti government and anti American.
