I remember the outlet on Brigade road so well that I had did a story on Coffee for an online bangalore portal. As the outlet like Kripal rightly says was known more for its internet usage with over 10 large screen terminals and coffee if required on the side. There was guns 'n' roses playing on the speakers as I browsed and sipped on good coffee. It seemed so strange then coz the Indian Coffee House on M.G. Road was the temple of coffee for die hard fans that included journos and other regulars or the stand up Darshini cafes with by 2 filter coffee. If I am not mistaken the earliest coffee plant brought into India by Baba Budan was in Siddhartha's coffee estate. I used to call coffee as the 'Hellish Brew' coz its beans kept the sufis alive and whirling in the night, much before we Indians brewed our coffee. I used to call that Brigade road pioneer Coffee Day outlet as "Heaven". The only place you get a 'Hellish Brew'! Thanks Kripal. V.G. Siddhartha. The Legend. Gone too soon.

One of the best indian coffee brand ... Cafe coffee day is one of the finest memories one can have of the 90"s... A great coffee culture that CCD boosted in between teens and small time meet up or meetings .... CCD is a brand that every youngster has once ended up at during college days or on a date during teens .... Barista Starbucks caters to a certain category in India but CCD even after being an expensive brand caters to mostly to the entire coffee lovers society .... Tonsss of coffee brand cafes have come n gone but none have lived up like the CCD . The interior of all the ccd's is so refreshing and the staff is trained to be core professionals. .. a cafe that u will find near by during college breaks , by work place, while biking on highways ,while holidaying with friends on the highways for a a short break ,for a quick meeting find a near by CCD... Infact this brand has always been near us and we have always been after it .... Thank you CCD and the brain behind this concept will always be remembered....
