This sounds like a confession. He sounds honest, and appears to have reflected on his behaviour and the psychology behind it.

Yes he sounds honest and he definitely reflected on his behaviour, however he is 55 now does this for roughly 30 years. And yet he didnt mention a therapist even once in this interview. He did the first step of admitting to the problem and now even talking in public about it all, that is great. But he needs professional help, because especially since he seems to be a educated and overall smart person, he might think he knows what he has to do to "change". And i've seen that time and again over the past few decades that this "change" without support was not always for the better. So i really hope that even tho he gives the vibe of a old school man that might see talking to a therapist as showing too much weakness. That he can go past that and seek out help, then he has a good chance to change for the better and find what he seeks.

@ijustrealllylikecats
@ijustrealllylikecats 4 жыл бұрын
That happens more often than you'd think. Guys seeing sex workers, becoming regular clients and looking for a relationship with them and being disappointed and hurt when it turns out that they just see him as another client. I've seen it over and over and over again way back when I was in the industry, I wasn't street walking, it was more "high end" but it's all the same, the men are often just very lonely and everyone wants to feel loved without having to pay for it. eta- And that can be dangerous too, a client feeling hurt and rejected can be dangerous, so a lot of girls go along with it as long as they can, further feeding the delusion that he has a chance.
@ijustrealllylikecats
@ijustrealllylikecats 4 жыл бұрын
A lot of people would wonder why go to prostitutes looking for a wife, and I don't think they start out that way. They see those women as objects but if they're lonely and craving that kind of contact with someone, and they don't have self esteem enough to try to just date women, so they go for the sure thing, paying for it. The more they see these girls, they start to feel a connection sometimes, and the girl he's picked up probably just wants to get paid. It happens a lot with a type of client called a "hobbyist", men who see escorts and street walkers as a "hobby" and frequently they catch some sort of feelings.

I used to be on the streets and I know this Type of guy.. the things he says.. "I'm not gonna pay you no money, just get you high" talking about spending all his money on a girl and then she takes off. He's the type that's emotionally unstable and when he spends all his money on you or does all his drugs with you he feels as if you are now his property or that you are indebted to him.. When he talks about it being a business transaction and that's all it is, you can tell he's trying to convince himself of that. I'm sorry but that's the type of guy you gotta watch out for. Everything will be fine one minute and the next(when the drugs run out) and your ready to leave thats when your gonna have a problem.. anyway to the women currently out on the streets all I can say is trust your instincts and Not All Money is GOOD money. Be safe.

Prostitutes don't do the laundry, cook, clean buy your mother's Christmas gift or bring you a cup of tea in the morning. Prostitutes don't love you or give you emotional support. We were talking about how I hang with all her friends more than the guys because most dudes always talk about stupid shit. But when I hang with the ladies it always ends up with them talking shit about their men. I mean even the ones that have been married for 20 years talk about how their sex lives suck o some other simple things that could be resolved by communicating with each other. It makes me sick how people don’t communicate with one another, it’s so easy to find resolution if you open your heart and mind rather than getting defensive.

I actually needed to see this. I'm a recovering drug addict almost 6 months sober. I've been in denial about having a sex addiction because I havnt really had sex with a massive amount of women, but when I hear guys like this speak, I realize I pretty much have the same mindset when it comes to sex. I crave the attention and company of the opposite sex and will put myself into dangerous and toxic scenarios to obtain it. What makes prostitution so appealing is the quickness and ease that one can change the way they feel with a simple cash exchange. It's exactly the same concept as going to a dealer for drugs. Until I get open and honest with myself and others about this behavior, I'm doomed to the same endless cycle, and ultimately the sex addiction will lead me right back to the dope. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for your candor Reggie. Kudos for being a single father the best you know how 🙏🏽 You’re not off the hook though w your son. Please don’t relinquish being a dad. My single dad who raised me did at 16 and it F’d me up. Go back to love! I’m no relationship/sex expert but Reggie the shit is hard. It’s hard for us too. A lot of us have expectations in life and that’s the number one thing in my opinion as humans, especially myself, that plagues us; along with insecurity attachment etc. You say there’s no strings attached but then you’re disappointed when you expect they reciprocate the attachment you’re projecting? At the same time You have insight. You said it “I have to change”. That’s all of us Reggie. If we all saw that and lived it we’d all be in better shape. One day at a time right? The addiction to crack/cocaine is a bitch. I hope you can resolve whatever is of priority to you, I really do. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I see a lot of women in the comment section so let me speak from a male experience: I've paid for escort service in the past. The thrill and excitement from calling up a lady of the night is an adrenaline rush. For me I became exhausted with the monotony of dating and just wanted a woman who could satisfy my sexual urges without all the strings attached. No I'm not a ugly guy with low self esteem who doesn't have confidence approaching a girl. For years I've just been over dating and I can't remember the last time I told a girl I loved her and actually meant it. There's a lot of pro's to using escort service and many con's. Regardless, its just something I would do when bored calling escort service but you do miss having a woman around who genuinely care and want to make you happy. I wish dating wouldn't have to be so taxing and draining. Anyways, thats my rant for the night and I'm pretty sure no one will read this but if you do I hope it can be someone insightful to you from a man's perspective.

He makes a valid point when he says, “In a way, we’re all tricks. I’m just taking the easy way out.” We don’t like to admit this, or we just don’t even see it in ourselves, but rarely are we in relationships of any kind unconditionally. We’re in them in exchange for SOMETHING - even for something good or innocent, like companionship (including non-sexual), conversation, validation, etc. Most of us are not there for NOTHING. Even when we’re giving we usually expect something in return. Some of us are better at recognizing and communicating those expectations than others. Expectations may go unspoken, but they’re still there. We all have a price. The forms of currency we prefer might be different though. This guy’s happen to be money, crack, and sex.

This is what the scared male ego looks like. A hurt prideful man! We wonder why there is such a misunderstanding between male/female emotions and the misinterpretation based off what it "looks like"... LISTEN to what his story which will describes what you're judging. I see a lot of people miss the point of these interviews! Like majority of the great people on here, this brotha is covering his pain with his addictions, but at least he has the guts to speak on them honest unlike most that judge!
