Tricky Madness - Explanation and Demo Overview

Awesome, loved the video. Sorry about your snowboard design, currently it's looking like the Kickstarter won't be successful and maybe I can use the designs anybody made. I've got the next update all ready to go, just need to make the KZbin video to go with it. The trick system is being changed to no longer have the fighting game style combinations, snowflakes have been added to Freestyle and some place holder music is being added. The Kickstarter and demo have been great for getting feedback and some people have even reached out wanted to work with me. I'll be announcing two new members to the team. A composer and art director. My plans for the game have changed a lot since launching the Kickstarter and I'm more excited now than ever for the future of this game. Without the Kickstarter funds, I'll be getting a job to pay for the development out of pocket and things might update a little slower but I'm still super dedicated. Thanks again!

wow, what the hell? I am emulating SSX 3 right now as well, in fact I was about to play it, but just wanted to check up on youtube once. this seems cool especially considering how much of a blunder this PS3/X360 era entry seems to have been, but I'm not exactly sure if even something such as the art direction can be replicated for one thing. SSX 3 has a certain feel to it that it seems unlikely for anything to top. also it is supposed to have 30 different types of snow or something like that, the amount of technicalities that went into how it just feels as an entire package is just astounding and one will be hard pressed for any fan project to even get close to it in terms of scale, scope and just sheer robustness of gameplay and aesthetics. they really made great use of their big budget and through the concept art you can really see the insane dedication towards making the tracks and visuals stand out. but I think either way it's about time for there to be a worthy follow up, has anything afterwards even come close? I think it's good that this game is trying to change up a lot to have its own identity, I'm all for that, but I'm not sure how I feel about those magnetic rails. I can see situations in which you accidentally get on a rail on which you didn't want to in the first place. I understand the choice of heavily stylized graphics for the game considering its low budget, but god those freerides in the wilderness of SSX 3 are so engrossing exactly because of their dedication to realism even now, 20 years after, it feels almost as being there. either way I wish this game and creators all the best, there's a lot of potential here for sure. also I think that's a wonderful design, I love owls and if anything I wish there were more board designs that made a dash of sense in SSX 3, somewhat in this vein perhaps. animals on things are always good.
