In Animal, even that one part in the story really set me off. I mean, there was actually no need for getting the intel by being physical and cheating on your wife. But I would like to say that he got hyper in Rashmika's scene when she said "I wish your father had died that day". He wasn't hyper when Rashmika said that "what if I do this deed and come and say sorry?". But he did become possesive and intolerant to it, as if he hasn't done the same lol. But then one of the comments said that they believe this particular scene was necessary so that people hate Ranvijay in the movie and see that how he isn't any less than an animal, no matter what his intentions were. Cheating your wife is never right, whatever situation or circumstances you be in. And Sandeep wanted audience to feel that Ranvijay isn't the hero of the movie. He is also one of the animals, who has gone rogue because of his love for his father. Idk if that's what the director's vision was, but that was literally one of those scenes where I was angry and also felt strongly for Rashmika. (And the other scene where I felt even more angry and gross was Abrar's wedding scene 😣🤢)

4:07 The aspects in the song from Boys were what the youth did in the 90s and 00s. It was quite reflective of how the society was a few decades ago. Looking back, it would appear problematic and it really is, but honestly that's how most of south India was. There was barely any internet, any adult films but enough free time for guys to roam around craving for physical attention. Yes it is crass and vulgar, but when the song was released it was a blockbuster because of how accurately it portrayed the youth at that time and how they were able to connect to it.
@subhajitbasu41875 ай бұрын
I have not seen that movie but were there any consequences or was that addressed later or came into the story line in an adverse way? See, the reason for the question is that if a movie is shown only from one perspective and disregarding the slightest reaction of the surroundings creates both bias and an incorrect conception. It is not to downplay your argument that boys at that age are testosterone filled, but to criticize the movie for whether it was biased or one sided in its portrayal.
@sm629865 ай бұрын
If we go by the accuracy argument, the lens and perspective through which a certain situation is shown should also be accurate, not the just actual scenes. Every time in real life, in public when actual boys/men sexually harass women in any form, it is anything but light-hearted and funny. Nobody laughs, the women are scared and uncomfortable, the people around are also uncomfortable but do nothing to help, some stare while others pretend to be blind to what's happening. So that part is extremely inaccurate. That is one part of youth that the adult men should be ashamed of, and not simply "connect with" in a wave of nostalgia. It was a hit because it catered to disrespectful and degenerate men who take sexual harassment lightly and think it's all fun and games and to some extent even "macho". Filmmakers are still using that formula to sell movies.

@@roronoauchiha69 chennai express was also another stereotypical film made on South indians. They literally portrayed kerala in the kashmir main tu kanyakumari. The director couldn't even get the states right. And last, the stereotypical accent South indians are always made to speak in. Like, why tf can't they accept that South indians can speak fluent English. But, in their eyes South indians are always outdated freaks.

@@Shimo2130 first some south indian people live around me and most teachers at my school were south indian they sound exactly like srk did in ra one, second have you watch south movies up until when ra one came out and even after it they themselves portray themselves as being creeps and outdated people, what exactly will north writers think when that's the only thing they know, third you're telling him there can't be a single south person who likes noodles with curd, did they say in the movies that every south person likes noodles with curd? No just srk's character likes it, his own wife makes a disappointed face at him when she watches him eat it, his own wife and son don't like it it's just him how does that portray that every south person likes that 😂 snowflake

@@roronoauchiha69 The accent is extremely over exaggerated and cringe. This is a typical Bollywood trope when portraying south Indians. Anyway, karma has definitely hit Bollywood.

I think upendra has evolved throughout the years and has stopped doing those type of misogynistic and regressive movies. Even Puneeth Raj Kumar regressive and misogynistic type of characters in films in his early films but gradually he also evolved and stopped playing those type of characters in films.

Jesus H. Christ that first clip 😅🤣🤣 And I agree with your thoughts on Ra.One. The storyline, the jokes and most of the character portrayals were atrocious. The only good things about it were its VFX, music, background score, and a good villain. It only fares well in comparison to Adipurush, because Adipurush is literally at the bottom of the barrel.

Only way to fame and money and blind love from audience. There are thousands of girls wanting to do it ,if she opts out. It's the best they and we as audience have. The entertainment industry has been shaped by rich, perverse,talentless and below average insecure men. Their movies are appreciated and celebrated the low quality audience which forms the majority. So here we are!!

Most brainstorming series of channel. Puri Jagannath sir dialogues are 100/100 but his way of portraying heroines is -100/100 . The more u explore his movies and hero-heroine chemistry , the more u feel sad for the heroine. Only 2 types of heroines for him, either Tom boy type or dumb, nothing in between. 😅
