12:33 ✌️😄🇵🇭 "Lumpia" is the umbrella term for Filipino egg rolls and spring rolls (Indonesia, as well as Vietnam, and even the Netherlands and Belgium also have similar and equally or similarly named versions, styles, recipes, types, kinds, or variations of their own). They range from having fresh but cooked and edible wrappers to wrappers that still needs to be cooked and fried. The fillings range from fish, beef, pork, mung bean sprouts, turnips, bamboo shoots, the heart of a palm tree, to a mix of vegetables like carrots and cabbages, among others. Dried fruits like raisins and nuts like fried, roasted, or toasted peanuts, Philippine pili nuts, or cashew nuts may also be included or added depending on the kind, type, style, variation, variant, or recipe of "lumpia". Other styles, kinds, types, recipes, variations, or versions of "lumpia" may have, include, or add Filipino commercial cheese, processed ham slices/meat, Filipino hotdogs, Filipino canned meat and/or beef loaves, Filipino Adobo meat or poultry, scrambled fried eggs or omelet, bacon, shredded chicken or other poultry, Filipino "tocino" or sweetened and cured pork belly/Filipino bacon, Filipino "pancit/pansit" or Filipino noodles/noodle dish/stir-fried noodle dish/sautéed noodle dish, and even whole medium-sized green chilis. There is also "ngohiong" which is distinctively seaoned with five-spice powder. There are also sweet types, kinds, styles, variations, or recipes of lumpia such as "turon" and "daral", which are more like desserts than appetizers and snacks.

The purple thing is "Ube" For you to try the food you should try first the Jollibee then the traditional adobo, sinigang, lumpia Adobo it is pork or chicken, marinated with soy sauce and vinegar, garlic and onion with a little bit sugar Lumpia is a Filipino version of egg roll but some american said it is better than egg roll Sinigang is a sour soup from tamarind with vegies and shrimp/pork on it

2:26 ✌️😄🇵🇭 All of us Filipinos from the motherland or from the Philippines, in majority at least ('cause I don't want to generalize all of us), consider ourselves as Southeast Asians and Asians, while only some Filipinos in diaspora, especially Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in North America, and most especially in the USA, are the ones who seem to have this identity crisis between being an Asian or a Pacific Islander all because of the history of the Philippines and Filipinos and their relations or relationships with the USA, and together with most of the islands and people in or from Micronesia (Micronesians are Pacific Islanders), especially back then.

12:25 ✌️😄🇵🇭 "Adobo" in the Philippines is less of a dish or meal but more of a preparation, process, or the ingredients of or for cooking. The general thing is, as long as there's garlic, cooking oil, and vinegar, then it's a "Filipino adobo". It can also be any meat, poultry, or other meat substitutes, and even any vegetables too with or without out any meat like water spinach, string beans, unripe jackfruit, potatoes, etc. Other added ingredients, depending on the style, recipe, locality, area, region, etc. ranges from salt, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, ginger, red or white or yellow onions, yellow ginger or turmeric, spring onions/green onions, scallions, leeks, whole peppercorns, crushed/ground peppercorns, powdered peppercorns, fresh chilis, dried chilis, chili or dried chili flakes, chili oil, coconut milk, coconut cream, white or refined sugar, brown sugar, cream, evaporated milk, pineapple chunks/slices/tidbits, pineapple juice, squid ink, annatto or atsuete seeds soaked in some water, clear soda or other clear lemon and/or lime flavored non-alcoholic drink or beverage, white wine, other types or kinds of vinegar, and even beer, among others.

✌️😃🇵🇭 The Jollibee spaghetti is a fast food version, variation, or recipe of the Filipino-style sweet spaghetti, which for most foreigners, especially for those who aren't used to it and grew up eating it, is too sweet for their taste. There are varieties, variations, or recipes that uses banana ketchup or sauce instead of or aside from tomato ketchup or sauce, and the like, while some adds or includes any cream, evaporated milk, or even sweet condensed milk. The general thing is Filipino-style sweet spaghetti is sweeter or way too sweet compared to other spaghetti around the world because of the added sugar or other sweeteners, which is sometimes already added or included in most of the tomato ketchups or sauces and spaghetti sauces you'll buy in a Filipino or Philippine store, market, or grocery, especially the labeled Filipino-style tomato ketchup or sauce and spaghetti sauce, aside from the Filipino banana ketchups or sauces. Sometimes the sweetness also comes from the kind or type of commercial cheeses that we use, include, or add to the spaghetti sauce, aside from using it as toppings, and aside from it already being added or included in most spaghetti sauces, especially the labeled Filipino-style spaghetti sauces. Another thing that makes the Filipino-style spaghetti distinct is its other ingredients such as but not limited to ground pork or beef (usually), spaghetti sauce or tomato sauce/ketchup and/or banana sauces/ketchup (usually Filipino-style ones or made, produced, and/or manufactured in the Philippines), garlic, onions (red, white, or yellow), small slices or chunky slices of Filipino hotdogs (usually beef hotdogs), Filipino commercially-bought cheese, salt, sugar or other sweetener or sweetening/sweet ingredient, and other spices, ingredients, and condiments needed in the specific recipe.

✌️😊🇵🇭 You should go to the Philippines around December to February, and that's my best advice. Generally it's the beginning of our dry season, or specifically it is the cool dry season of the Philippines, which is the first half of the generally six-month dry season in the Philippines, while the latter half is from around March to May, which is specifically the hot dry season of the Philippines, or colloquially but erroneously called, labeled, and referred to as the "summer" season in the Philippines. Around March to May is also our general, typical, usual, or common and longest school break or vacation, especially among the majority of public and or state schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutions, because usually a school or academic year ends around March or April (though sometimes it depends on some other various factors, and may end around May, June, or July), and then a school or academic year begins around June (though sometimes it depends on some other various factors, and may begin around July, August, September, or even around October). These some other various factors are the school, its type, the system the have or follow, when they last or recently ended their previous school or academic year, and the specific situation/s and circumstance/s the school is in, undergoing, or experiencing, such as this global pandemic. Sometimes in some areas of the Philippines such as in the higher altitude areas like the Cordillera Administrative Region in Luzon, during the cool dry season of the Philippines from around December to February, frost does occur that sometimes greatly affects the vegetation there, especially the crops, flowers, fruits, and vegetables. It's also nice to spend Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day in the Philippines, which are all within the larger secular Christmas Season in the Philippines from September 1 to January 5 or 6. In February, we observe and celebrate the Love or Heart Month which includes the Valentine's Day on Feb. 14, and also the Chinese or Lunar New Year is observed and celebrated in a non-specific day within the last two weeks of January and the first two weeks of February. We also have other big religious and secular festivals, observances, celebrations, and/or feasts during December to February throughout the Philippines. It's also not that hot during these months of the year in most areas of the Philippines unlike from around March to May, and that's something good to easily adapt with by foreigners who aren't used to or adapted to the extreme heat, humidity, and warmth of the tropics like the Philippines. Generally, the rest of the year from around June to November is our monsoon, wet, or rainy season, although rains, rainstorms, thunderstorms, and even typhoons/cyclones/hurricanes, some few and area-specific tornadoes and waterspouts or other twisters, some few and area-specific hails/hail precipitations, aside from other weather systems, forms, kinds, and types, bring precipitation, thunders and lightnings, strong winds which mostilely cause storm surges, flash floods, floods, mudslides, landslides, rockslides, sinkholes, coastal disasters or calamities, sea level rising, etc. anytime of the year.
