Lower back pain can be debilitating. Many people do not realize that the number one cause for pain in the low back can be trigger points in muscles that are in the abdomen. The psoas muscle is a strong torso and hip flexor and when harboring trigger points can cause pain or Sensation that runs up and down the low back near the spine. The rectus abdominis muscle otherwise known as the six pack abs, when harboring trigger points can cause pain or Sensation that runs horizontally across the entire low back. It is relatively easy to use a 7in diameter or 5 inch diameter self-care ball to apply gentle and careful pressure into the abdominal muscles.
After this self-care application, the abdominal muscles can be stretched very easily while sitting, standing, or kneeling. An important perpetuating Factor of the abdominal muscles is sleeping scrunched up in a ball and too much sitting or driving. Be sure to keep the abdominal muscles relaxed when you are sitting, bending, or when picking up objects be sure to use the leg muscles.

Is there a reason why the trigger points are under pressure for only 10-15 seconds? Why not longer/ or shorter?
