This is an amazing resource for those with TMJ and/or bruxism., and those who try to help them. Thank you for a straightforward and detailed way to address tension (and spasm?) in the masseters . 💗

Try getting a massage gun and then after you massage it use your hands and you’ll be able to actually massage it without being scared that’s what I do it works for me

this is a great video. if you've had these trigger points for months, how long is it likely to take to get rid of them? and how often per day should you work on them?

If you have them lying supine with one hand supporting the back of their head, you don’t need to go intra oral because you already have enough leverage. Otherwise, great, informative video!

Have you tried both techniques on yourself or gotten patient feedback? I’d bet most patients would say, while painful, this brings far more relief.

I know im late but I have the same issue with my upper back left gum. Yeah trigger points can send pain signals to those areas and cause tenderness. If your dentist cleared you it is most likely a result of those trigger points!

Find TMJ specialist dentist. Check your bite and you may need mouth guard. Hot fonentation and gentle massage do help. NSAIDS and muscle relaxant occasionally . I know this pain really sucks..
