Do you think the students you look after 18:19 see these videos? Smoking weed is not the way to stop drinking. It's just another crutch. Many people have told you to get professional help. This is obviously something you cannot do alone. I have had a liver transplant due to alcohol abuse and am lucky to be alive. However my life expectancy is shortened and my quality of life diminished. I wish I had stopped drinking before it got so bad. I have blood tests every week now and obviously can not drink or use drugs. It's no good trying to taper off . Alcoholics need to stop completely.

Alcoholism doesn't exist in vacuums of cravings. You have deeper rooted psychological issues that you are ignoring and choosing to avoid. The fact that you can't have time alone without self medicating with some kind of substance in order to not have to process thoughts and feelings is evidence of this. You need professional help to learn the skills to effectively cope, and to do the harder work of getting to the root issues in your past that have brought you to this point and contributed to the problems you face.

I`ve had enough of the weak delusional shit now, hope you take responsibility some day and get over your self-sympathy, as all of us with addictive personality have too. Quit drugs if you wanna grow into an adult, man. Best wishes, I only get annoyed because I had to grow up too, it`s hard but worth it.

The only way I stay sober is by reminding myself of the misery that life used to be. Alcohol no longer holds the same allure. it doesn’t bring the escape it once did. If I were to drink now, it would just be sitting on my couch, doing nothing. I’m two years sober, and there’s no turning back.

Good for you for resisting the urge to drink. Peer pressure can be the worst, which is why its important to have peer pressure play in your favor. A supportive community when it comes to sobriety is gold.

As someone who struggles myself, 1 drink is just just awful.... it makes me feel anxious and I instantly want to get about 10 more in me as fast as possible to alleviate the anxiousness. Not good....

@@wrongthink1212 sounds like your drinking has led you to alcoholism. Abstinence is the only way to arrest this disease. One drink is too many and a 1,000 are not enough. I recommend AA. It saved my life.

Alcoholism doesn’t come in a bottle. It’s great your not drinking alcohol although the marijuana maintenance program is not a Sober substitute for alcohol. Go to AA, ask someone for help and take the steps to get out 🙏🏻

Not sure I’d be giving out advice if I were you at this stage. Please consider professional help. You have not been able to do this alone, none of us in recovery have been able to do this alone- and your trading one addiction for another. I’m done commenting on your videos. I’ve put in thought and time into my responses that you don’t seem to read and you’ll figure it out when you’re ready. You’re clearly not right now.

timestamp: 13:07 'came home and smoked a little weed'. And you wonder WHY YOU CAN'T STAY #SOBER (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJeWkq2npNl0lck). You are trying to be California Sober and it won't work. I also noticed how you are white knuckling it ... A BAD SIGN. Unfortunately you can't do it all alone. And you don't need to; but if you want relief maybe you should try a Meeting (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqrSXpqYprCgaM0)

This video is great, two separate possible reasons to drink almost unavoidable but you wormed your way around those situations with dignity, integrity, and bloody self-respect. THOSE aren't triggers to me. But they're worse. They're.... like the real pitfalls. The bottle of wine from work as a gift, the dinner. It's those situations that fuck it for us all. Be proud, THAT is strength. If you can do that you just gotta keep doing it for as long as you can and it gets easier.

Sounds like you might have some pretty serious issues yourself, based on that comment.... It's amazing that people really don't understand we all have different physiological makeups... "Just stop" might be easy for some, but the alcohol doesn't have the same effects, isn't as addictive, feeling drunk might feel totally different / unpleasant for some, but really really good for others, plus we are all at different states and have different things going on in life...

@ “just stop” wasnt how I did it. I knew I had a big problem. Emotionally numb. Lost the desire to live. 24/7 drinker. Alcohol was my life so to speak. It’s easy to think you know it all but you don’t. I felt like I was losing my mind. I isolated myself from others. I just wanted to feel nothing at all. I was being physically abused. I felt unworthy. I admitted myself for help. I went to AA every day of the week. I went to intense outpatient treatment 9-3 five days a week. I have not had a drink or mood altering substance for 35 years.
